Penny Arcade's Collectable Card Game
Klytus writes "GamingReport.com has news on Penny Arcade's new Collectable Card Game. The CCG is being produced by a division of UK based Games Workshop, Sabertooth Games, makers of the Lord of the Rings Miniatures game. From the article: 'Designed and illustrated by Penny Arcade's Gabe and Tycho, this set of cards was inspired by the hijinks of their legendary web comic. Everything from the Divx to Tycho's Really Big Word is included in this set of cards, allowing players to reenact the epic battle of Gabe and Tycho.'"

I realy dont want to know what players will "tap" instead of mana...
What's that you say, not a video game. Surely things of such nature died out years ago.
Honestly though it is kind of strange (in a refreshing way) to see a game article that has nothing to do with consoles, PCs, launch dates, etc. I'd like to see more aticles that focus on gaming outside the norm like this one. I read Penny Arcade fairly often, but somehow have never heard anything about this game.
Nice to see something that isn't an attack on MS/Sony, FUD about Nintendo flopping, or hype about some game months away from release.
Legend of the 5 Wangs. PA: The Wanging Yu Gi Wang Poke'... Ok, I just can't bring myself to make that last joke.
Now if this was a card game, instead of a collectable card game, maybe I'd buy it. But the fact that I'd need to buy Packs and packs and PACK of cards just to play doesn't excite me.
I don't think this will last any longer then XXXenophile the CCG
And now a post about a Slashdot article that links to a cut-and-paste article on an obscure gaming website that links to Sabertooth's homepage that links to a post about the new cards that links to the original press release.
that Gabe and Tycho were embroiled in an epic battle of ANY sort. Except perhaps the eternal Battle of Good Taste, but that's neither here nor there.

...does it include Jesus, the Rainbow Colored Pen?
So I guess this game will be rated "W" for Wang?

Not terribly exciting, but the official press release is here:

Exact same text, but there's two illustrations from the cards.
IMO, the set will not be complete without a Greg Kasavin rookie card.
