Millions of Games

duncangough writes "With the recent rise in popularity of casual games and the seemingly established presence of community bookmarking sites such as del.icio.us, Millionsofgames.com is one of the first websites to provide an amalgamation of these two themes. MOG is a social bookmarking service for flash, shockwave and java games although any type of game can be added, such a MMORPGs or downloadable games like Zuma and Bejewelled."

Which is a good ratio considering 90% of games in existence are Tetris clones

I can't imagine how anyone could possibly think they need any more games than MAME can provide. :-)

Mame is mostly full of arcade games and games for old gaming systems like nintendo and such.

Meanwhile, there is a while world of games outside of these; games like World of Warcraft and Counter Strike and all of those other trendy teen games.

So while Mame may be a great gaming system, it is far from all-inclusive, and there will always be a taste for a game that Mame can't provide.

Your logic is counter-intuitive. You don't want this crapola on your computer, and yet, you mind there is a list telling you where to find this crapola. You could just as easily use the list to BLOCK the crap from your machine instead of actually installing it, so why are you so upset?

even better is the fact that most auditing software doesn't look for Java games... they ignore .jar files, which means you only have to get the game downloaded once... you don't have to keep going online to play them... and you can even email yourself games you've found while browsing at home.

  8. But what platform? by snookums · · Score: 2, Insightful

Is is just me, or is this site sorely lacking a "filter by platform" control. There's no way of telling if a game is for mobile phone, Java, Flash, Windows-only or whatever before you click on it.

That detracts a lot from its usefulness for me.
