Moreover, the youth of this generation is completely desensitized to it, likened to a forensic investigator at a gory crime scene. Star Wars is saved due to it's 'cool' factor, but Toy Story 1 is shrugged off. Story and originality are very important, and it's great to see films that aren't remakes or sequels. But I will be at the Tron premiere tomorrow night, and that's because I connected with the original. The fact that it's in 3D is meaningless. The film makers of today are being forced to lure audiences in. It's a bit sad because who knows what's next? Holographic projection? It all boils down to the elusive "block-buster", and content is the unfortunate victim.
Please, where do I sign up to get my nuts zapped with unforeseen and unpredictable results?
Sounds completely unappealing.
With $100k to play with, looks like the researchers are gonna be balls deep if they don't figure something out.
Lame list if I do say so myself. I would think that a gaming console, namely the Nintendo Wii, would be seen as a gadget that defined the decade. Yeah the graphics aren't high-end, but I'll bet that most people reading this post own one. The Wii innovated and brought families and friends closer together. They defied their critics in a time that demanded faster, better, prettier looking games. Instead they thought outside of the box (pun intended) and did something new that their competitors would eventually copy and try to improve upon.
Also, Apple products seem to be ubiquitous in TFA along with the word ubiquitous. WTF?
Seems to be doing fine on my Vaio laptop. I was an early adopter of Jaunty as well, and Karmic doesn't even come close to the problems I had with the Jackalope. I know that there were a lot of problems with audio, brightness settings, battery life, and a slew of others. Karmic seems to have everything under control. The ONLY issue that's slightly annoying is the boot time. No ten second boot time here. Jaunty was faster at approx. 25 seconds from Grub to the log in prompt.
The shut down sequence kicks ass though, by the time I reach over to close the lid its already done and off at approx 6 seconds!
At least the new startup screens are pretty.
So does that mean when GV comes to Canada, Apple will be going to bat for the Canadian AT&T, Rogers?
Rogers has exclusivity with the iPhone in Canada, so it's basically the same scenario. The thing with Rogers though is that they charge insane rates for service that they soon realize people are going to get for free one day. Teens going over their limit in SMS are their bread and butter. I'd be surprised if Rogers will sit by the wayside.
Go Blackberry!
Well he has been in very close proximity to sub-woofer bins and amplifier racks for a large portion of his life. That's like taking that silly "Q-ray" bracelet to the next level. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the iron in his blood cells being sent into upheaval.
Just reading all these posts makes me warm inside. I love Star Wars fans.
Did anyone notice that in the pictures from the exhibit: Han Solo, Anakin Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, and Mace Windu are all black? When did this happen? Well Mace I understand.
HD-DVD is obsolete. I feel sorry for those poor bastards that bought the new Beta. I never had a Beta Player myself, my mom opted for the VHS based on my uncles' advice. Any comments from anyone with prior experience in owning and operating an obsolete device that feels as though it just wont let go? In this day and age with HD-DVD I wonder how long it will take to completely disappear? We're either going to have bargain basement prices on HD hard and soft ware or they'll skyrocket in hopes of being a collectors item.
Wait a second... Who do I speak to about my quintuple-standard disk idea? Lets throw on VHS and BETA versions aswell. Does anyone else think that this multi-format market flooding is absurd? Hell, the compact disc is still holding some pretty decent ground against these new-fangled mp3 things. What's wrong with regular animorphic DVD? I think the HD/DVD and Blu Ray squads jumped the gun by a couple of years, just look at the sales numbers that are way below expectations. And don't gimme that "well the players are still too expensive" arguement.
Deckard shoots first this time?
Whoooaa.

Hahahahaha, Dr. Wang....

It's a basic Faraday Cage. Look it up.
I suppose everyone just missed the Craigslist post to find the appropriate legal representation.

Bah who needs Ubuntu? You can get a great laptop but with Fedora instead. And I hear it's only $150 bucks! Avail in Canada too!
Just to put one out there. Does anyone know if USA Today is owned in part by the Microsoft Corporation?
