Take advantage of the chroot ability in vsftpd and try to break out of that one using an FTP client. It must be impossible. Which is good, because I'd hate to have users inadvertently find their way into other system directories (even if they do lack write privileges).
Forty-seven percent of tech pros admit they've kissed a co-worker But what percentage of those were imaginary co-workers? Or in a dream? While sleeping at work?
Ah, just in time for Duke Nukem Forever;) Duke Nukem Forever? But that's impossible... Don't you know there's a certain reason for why "Forever" was put in its title?
I remember reading an article in National Geographic many years ago about this. The ultimate speculation was that birds of prey (like ravens) had descended from velociraptors.
I'm really quite thrilled about this.
Considering Nintendo's track record with online gaming however, I really hope they know to allocate enough server power and broadband such that it prevents any sort of lag. If you have any kind of lag in a fast-paced game like this, it can really mean the difference between in-game life or death. Since nobody would dare consider direct IP-to-IP functionality for console gaming, playing within a LAN will likely not make a difference.
So while Smash Bros. online sounds awesome, don't be surprised if it suffers from lag (at least, starting out) or if it suffers from limitations (only certain levels, characters, items, etc.). I have no problem with remaining completely anonymous from strangers. I could give two craps less about statistics; I'll just want to play the game.
It is pointless articles like this that give that ridiculous man publicity And it's counterintuitive that Zonk gave the article a "stopthepublicity" tag. WTF?
Yeah, most phones have the airplane mode now. But unfortunately, the vast majority of people either don't know that it exists, they don't know what it's for, they don't know how to disable it, or they completely forget that they even have it.
Most people also aren't aware that their phone might still be on even if it appears to be turned off.
It's foolish for phone designers to put faith in the general public fully understanding that.
Future models of the phone should at least tell you that it's not actually being turned off when you think you're turning it off. It should then tell you how to turn it completely off, should you decide to do so. That little feature by itself would have probably saved that huge ATT bill.
I got the opportunity to hold and play with this bird a few years ago. He had an equivalent IQ to a 3-year-old child and was able to identify (and speak the name of) a number of different objects presented to him. He also did this strange dance for me whenever I had a piece of fruit in my hand. But he was a remarkable creature, so it's definitely a sad bit of news for the University of Arizona dept of biology.
'Sex has always been and remains a central interest of humankind... It engages the interest of children from an early age, as anyone familiar with the classic fairy tales collected by Grimm, Andersen, and Perrault are aware.' Fairy tales of the Penthouse Forum?
Didn't Halo die when they turned it into an xbox-exclusive FPS? Before Halo, Mac gamers were Bungie's only fanbase.
Halo is playable on XBox, PC, and (omg) Mac.
Whatever small fanbase they lost, it was only a fraction of the fanbase that they gained.
If Lenovo is willing to collaborate with the Linux development community to improve the Linux laptop user experience, it will be a big win for all Linux users, not just the ones who buy laptops from Lenovo. And not just for Suse users, but of any distro in general.
US and China are also the top two harborers of SSH and FTP attackers (dictionary and brute force script kiddies). My auth.log and vsftpd.log files are evidence of that. This also reflects in the DenyHosts statistics. (Click the 'Country' link at the top of the page.)
The only slide rule around here is to not push the kid in front of you.

Yeah, hell would be frosty indeed before that happened...
They'd likely never touch Linux/BSD, but I don't think something *nix in nature should be discounted as a possibility in the future of MS.
Xenix revival, anybody? (hahahaha)

Dunno... I'd pirate it.
Why are they releasing Halo 3?
I'm still waiting for the remaining half of Halo 2.

Read - the - article.
Hope that sums it up for you.
Who knows what form it will be in, but it will probably be similar in shape to a real grub.
Either that, or MacE (Mac Emulator, read: 'mace').
Teenage Social Agenda != Professional Business Applications
