LOL BePro have a VERY VERY LOW contention ratio indeed. i fact if you check it's 1:1(BePro only) which, as far as i know is the best i have ever seen! http://www.which.co.uk/reports_and_campaigns/computers_and_internet/reports/internet/internet_access/Broadband/pp_excel_546_131166.jsp check the "capped contention raio", it says "not contended" i too don't use the BT phone line at all really, except for sending/recieving faxes(achaic i know but still the only use my landline has! My mobile plan has 900 mins and 350 texts so i pretty much use that ad skype for all my calls and if my minutes are running low and i am calling a landlie and am near a friendly wireless access point i use truphone to call uk landline for free!

In the UK British Telecom HAD a monopoly in every sense of the word due to them owning ALL the telephone landline infrastructure. now this was ALL built with piblic money as BT used to be part of the Post Office and was sold off by the Brit govt in the 80's when that old bag thatcher started selling everything off that was publicly owned..lol Now a few years back BT were MADE to sell wholesale access to other telephone companies and ISP's to the point where they HAD to allow other companies to put equipment in the exchanges, this is called LLU(local loop unbundling). it's very good and has done great things for pricing and competition. i pay £22 GBP for a ADSL2+ connection and get 22419 down and 2446 up)pretty maxed out for ADSL2+) from bethere.co.uk. (i am lucky to be only 382 metres from the exchange by wire) i would think the wholesale idea for US cable woud do wonders for choice and price and also stop the need for the FCC to step in. also as an added bonus, the unbundling might drive the wholesale companies tp update and modernise their infrastruceture to give you fellows better and higher speeds which seems to be somewhat lacking in the US. BUT choice is what is needed and the wholesale option will do that and most probably assist in price wars(always a good thing) now all we need is for Scotland(where i live) to become independent so we can bin the license fee for the TV here which is a complete load of CRAPIOCA and utterly bollocks

EA have done nothing but piss people off since they had anything to do with the game. first off they have released a collectors edition EVERYWHEE BUT EUROPE and AUSTRALIA. the reason the EU and Australia don't get it? EA europe say that euros "DO NOT PRE-ORDER GAMES". this is a direct quote from the hellgate beta forums of the ea statement. so me being Scotland's curious george i phoned a couple of online etailars and asked how many pre-orders they had. one said they had 6,000 and expected to have around 8,000 by release. they said that EU wide they had a total of 30,000 with expectations of 40,000 by release. the other etailar told me that EU wide they had 35,000 pre-orders for hellgate london.... anyone else smell that EA eurpoe and just out to HUMP people by not offering them the funkynes in teh Collectors edition such as dye kit, pet, and most important of all FOUNDERS OFFER which is a beauty.. you get to pay a $150 fee and that's you got an elite acount(ie the pay to play aspect) for life(of the game) and pay's for itelf after a year basically. otherwise it's £6.99 per month or have a non elite account and only get 3 character slots and less funkyness. i also called EA UK in london and they never even had the good grace to get back to me, because they are assholes. now with this in game ads, does this make the game "ad-supported" and thus getting a revenue stream from those ads??? YES it does. ad-supported software is usually FREE but not with EA. they did it to BF series games and now they are trying to fuck up Flagship's wonderful game with their shitty evil business model. EA just want to fuck you for all the money they can and their support is CRAPIOCA! their is a fair deal of unhappy beta campers due to this and the collectors edition. such as shame, and i really mean this as tiggs and the rest of the flagship crew have worked really hard and have made a superb game only to have EA fuck them and the gaming public for it....
