This reminds me of the Mythbusters TV show that attempted to bust the myth that the Apollo moon landings were faked.
There were 2 problems with that episode:
1. Multiple light sources on the moon - this was explained as the 'properties of the composition of rock' on the moon. However, NASA did not provide Mythbusters with any real moon rock samples. Instead, they provided some substance that they claimed 'had a similar makeup' to the 'reflective' moon rocks for the Mythbuster's test. Perhaps they should redo their test with some 'authentic' $10000/gram moon rock?
Think about it: If you were investigating the credibility of someone, would you take their word over verifyable scientific proof? How do we know for sure that the NASA 'artificial' moon rock is the same as the rock on the moon? Who can verify this?
2. The Van Allen radiation belt. There is no mention at all on Mythbusters as to how the Astronauts made it though the VA belt. AFAIK, it would have been impossible to survive. Yet, not a scratch on the Astronauts flying to the moon with 60's technology.
I used to be a huge fan of NASA as a kid. As I got older, I realized that NASA has about as much credibility as 21st century governments.
I think they only way they could be successful is if they (Facebook) bought Linkedin.
Unless a company's official website is a Facebook page or your work requires Facebook use (advertising, law enforcement), I just don't see companies allowing you to waste time with the world's largest gossiping tool - Facebook, Workbook, Wastebook, or whatever.
Big corporations constantly take advantage of the 'little guy' and there is little incentive for them to stop.
For example, if a company makes an extra $1 million a year by engaging in sleazy (illegal/immoral) business practice, and pays $100,000 in fines/restitution, then the activity - from a business perspective - is considered 'good business' because the company profited $900,000.
The $100,000 is seen as a sort of 'criminal tax' or cost of doing business.
CEO's of large corporations are _expected_ to make these sort of decisions if they want to keep their job. It's all about paying shareholders; not providing quality products or services to the customers.
The only way the company really gets hurt is if there is a successful lawsuit or a plethora of bad publicity. Of course, many companies have slush funds put aside to take care of these sort of 'problems'.
Corporations get away with way too much!
For once it would be nice to see David beat Goliath.
They are simply paying lip service to the issue so as to say that the issue has been looked at and dealt with - undoubtedly whilst working in the background to 'reform', overshadow and hide future legal infractions (aka classifying information for reasons of "national security").
I have not doubt that the nefarious and illegal activities of the NSA will continue, regardless of the outcome of this 'reform'.
The real issue has nothing to do with anonymity; it has to do with police being properly trained.
Our society is degenerating to the point where the police are no longer the noble, chivalric knights that they were once intended to be. Proper police training is quite lacking and is on a continual downward slide, and many people no longer have respect for the boys in blue.
Too many cops in Canada are racist, egotistical power-trippers with a badge and a gun.
Law Enforcement should be more concerned with setting the right example by doing the right thing.
Police are supposed to be there "to serve and protect society", although the last word is strangely omitted on the police cars.
"To serve and protect" is ambiguous; it begs the question "who are you serving and what are you protecting?"
It should be obvious, but modern police behaviour would suggest otherwise.
Perhaps the first thing to do is to fix the writing on the wall, so to speak.
Al Gore said the polar ice caps would be gone by 2013 due to climate change.
But they are still there! How can this be? Mr. Gore is a politician; he CAN'T possibly be wrong!
There is only one explanation - Dr. Evil is behind it all.
"Hmm.. Let's see... (rubs hands together)... Imposing a global carbon tax and launching a massive military campaign to "fight" global warming should do it...
Now there's just the problem with the non-believers - who are obviously unpatriotic tin-foil hat wearing terrorists; conspiracy kooks who refuse to do their part or think of the children. Two words for them - 'Guantanamo Bay' ".
Whilst humans are engaging in destructive behaviour on this planet in so many ways, global warming per se is a natural phenomenon - not man made.
If you believe the theory that dinosaurs once roamed the earth, then you probably believe that the earth was warm at that time. Then the Dinosaurs were supposedly killed off by an ice age.
So... Are we still in an ice age?
No. The earth got warmer, and is still getting warmer.
If we could evenly distribute the WIFI hotspots globally and use some sort of open inter-connectivity then we might be well on the way to making ISP's obsolete.
A global network made by the people for the people.
No need. Elvis is in the building.
Hey, where did my jelly beans go?
Indeed.
Whilst the upper echelons of society compete with each other, they co-operate when it comes to herding the masses.
They are the dark magicians who rule the world by deceit and trickery - and have for aeons.
There is much discussion lately about Cayenne pepper being able to assist someone suffering from a cardiac arrest.

"running could actually get you elected."
In America, anyone can become president. Look at Dubya.
Of 300 million people, they picked him.
Quite the land of opportunity....
In 2030 my car will look just like it does today.
And it will be the same year, too.

Zuckerberg is a weiner.
Wikisneezia.
Awarding the domains would have set a precedent and opened a whole can of worms (opportunity?) in the porn industry.
I herd it was a hole heard full of wholes.
I here ya!
I sincerely hope he wins!

Please keep .NET proprietary and let it quickly become obsolete.
The open-source community is doing just fine without Micro$oft.

Any chance this guy was recently defrocked?

This guy wants personal info of strippers so he can "pray" for them? Right.
Please send me the personal info for Jessica Alba asap. I'd like to pray for her too. Sigh.
Choose your news? Just like voting in "elections" - sure, you have a choice...
But at the end of the day it doesn't really matter because it's all bullshit anyway.

Let's see.. warm temperatures.. cooler.. colder.. colder.. ice age... warming...warmer...warmer.. hot
Do you see a pattern emerging here Scully?
Time for Al Gore and his fear-mongering band of "warmists" to cool down and move along... and take their "global carbon tax" scheme with them.
