Why not make a huge tin foil hat to sit over all your boxes? Jokes aside, I wish you luck. When Agfa APX 120 was no longer made I too dreamed of stocking up, but costs sorta got in the way. I hope you find an easy, long-lasting solution.
Now why would you call native people yayhoos? This is not a story of some hayseeds out for a good time. This whale was harvested by a group of people that are monitored by the IWC and practice whaling as part of their indigenous culture. Did you read tfa? This is a major source of food for these people. Oh, because it's a 100 year old animal you have feelings for it? They can't eat because of your values? How nice of you. Don't bother to think of all the wood and lumber products in your life that are from trees that were FAR older than 100 years old when harvested.
Even though I am a social studies teacher, I inject as much science as I can, especially in geography class. Certainly Mr. Wizard sparked a love of science that I still carry today. Even more so, he fed all of our curious natures, and helped us answer questions about why stuff happens. If only someone were carrying the torch today. I don't quite trust the Wiggles and Barney to carry the next generation...
Not to sound like a jerk, but the number of things that our taxes pay for that we can't see in museums is most likely staggering. I'd love to see all of our latest and greatest gadgets... not that spacesuits are state guarded secrets, right? Perhaps some fat-cat space contractor just talked NASA Manager #45ef.99 into agreeing to a deal where fat-cat space contractor gets to make a TON more money by making "disposable" space suits... Nothing ensures orders like a terminal product.
I am not trying to troll or throw flames here, just pointing out what I learned while looking into who the Pacific Institute is...Astounding Bible Prophecy! Yes, yes tongue-in-cheek that's pacinst.com, not.org.....
1,000,000 sold to vendors perhaps? Sold to customers might be different but if there are 1 mil Zunes on shelves or in stock out there M$ can claim "million sold."
Censored?? The Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico has been getting GREAT coverage every year from the Times Picayune. Check nola.com sometime this summer and you will find the annual report on the Dead Zone. The problem with the Dead Zone is NOT coverage, the problem is that no farm state congress rep/Senator would EVER work to stop this problem as it would be way too costly to the farmers. Controlling fertilzer=higher costs for Billy Bob Tractor Jockey and increased costs would mean lost votes for the congress folks that voted to conrol such substances...Thanks middle America. Don't come crying when Gulf seafood is wiped out because of your grain fertilizer.
The only way employers will care of such a database is when the government decides to enforce the law with regards to illegal workers. And of course right now that enforcement is next to nothing. I suspect that our business friendly (read profit loving) Congress is not about to mess up the current system which makes so many big-whig donors a lot of money. As someone who served two years in commercial construction I can assure you that the fellas that had questionable immigration status sure worked their ass off compared to the born and raised guys... Try getting a Delta Minus to work overtime... then offer that to an illegal. I've watched those guys pull 7 day work weeks for long stretches of time. Cheaper, and often (not always) the same if not better labor? No profit loving company would EVER pass up on that... especially with the government knowingly allowing it to happen.
I've also seen some pretty bad behaviour in front of CCTV cameras;
I once worked at a bank where the video from the ATM in the French Quarter (a quasi red-light/drinking part of town) in New Orleans was viewed on many Mondays as hilarious stuff. So ya know some bobby is laughing his arse off at the loads of good stuff they see every day... just a matter of time before some not so well trained greenhorn releases some of said video.
Cold drip coffee is my favorite by far. I use CDM Coffee & Chicory or Union Coffee & Chicory. As a New Orleanian I was raised on chicory coffee. (Insert "I thought y'all were raised on Bourbon St." joke here). Cold drip chicory coffee has a very nice bitterness that is muted compared to hot brewed coffee. Hope you find the magic brew you're looking for.
Spain was GIVEN La Louisianne by the French to keep it out of the hands of the Brits. Of course, France "called" all lands drained by the Miss'sip, so that was a bit of a grand claim, of course ignoring the numerous local inhabitants (i.e. orginal Native Americans). And yes, Napoleon took it back from the Spaniards, but at the time he was pretty much running the show in Europe.
Seems we in the US also like to forget the help the French gave us in helping defeat the British to get our independence in the first place....
Yeah, that law is called the PATRIOT ACT, which gives law enforcement basic carte blanche to arrest yo ass under any suspicion of terrorisms. Making a map of school? He MUST hate freedom! Therefore, as a freedom hater, we have reason to suspect he is a terrorism! And thanks to the rubber stamp formerly known as Congress, under the PATRIOT ACT, that poor kid can wind up screwed. What's really sad is that when he applies to jobs and a background check is run.... "Detained for suspected terrorist activity" is likely to come up. Anyone gonna hire him if they run such a check?
Maize(corn) has done WONDERS to help boost European food supplies after its introduction FROM the Americas. If that weren't enough... the potato for god's sake!! To say we didn't learn from the Americas is ignorant. European food supplies were able to grow, thus populations, because of two very vital food products from the Americas. Respecting the Earth is something native cultures tried to teach the European cultures... sadly, they didn't listen.
If proven, then the theory that Marco Polo brought spaghetti to Italy will finally have some competition. Were noodles, in fact, a Roman invention introduced to the Chinese?
Unless the Romans were making noodles 4,000 years ago, there's no chance they invented noodles. Seeing as 4,000 year-old Chinese noodles have been found, it's pretty clear who invented noodles.
PATRIOT ACT must not mean much to you. Unauthorized wire taps, trips to Git-Mo, Echelon..... yeah the 2nd ammendment has saved us from all that scary big brother stuff... wake the hell up.
To have someone to share the misery with?
a.k.a. marriage??

M$ should hire the Video Professor to handle their ad campaign.... "So please, try our product!"
Good point you got there about modern tools.

I agree! Finding martinis would be so much cooler... They are tastier, too...

Huxley would be proud.... We're on our way to making Brave New World and a whole host of worker drones. Load up the Soma, fellas.
