Both of my parents (born in 1940) have their own iPad with the Netflix app installed. That way they can watch whatever they want, at whatever volume they need, and not fight over what to watch.
This may be good for elderly relatives living on their own. When they turn their lamp on in the morning, you know they are ok. If it doesn't turn on by a certain time, have the police (or a trusted neighbor) run a "welfare check" on them.
They don't do much when you do get stabbed with them, depending on where that is. I still have a piece of pencil graphite in my thigh from 12th grade. Won't say how long ago that was...;)
The Saturn 5 exhibit at the National Air and Space Museum in DC is my fave exhibit, but the entire museum is not to be missed. The IMAX theater is great too, unless you get motion sick.
By protesting that much about a photo, she now has her name and address (not just her cat) blasted all over the web. If she had said nothing, possibly it would have all blown over.
It's all in the editing. If they shot 100 hours of film, they still have to edit it down to something that the average person is willing to sit through. Which means under two hours, for the most part. Out of that original 100 hours, how many different versions of the film can they concoct? Probably one or two that the guy would like, and several more that make him look like a prick.
If they offered a 32GB iPhone, the price would have to be subsidized like most other cell phones in the US. NOt that Apple would ever allow that, but it might get more people willing to buy the phone and then pay extra for content packages.
I think it was called "Gotcha", and starred Anthony Edwards. He and his friends played paint ball tag around campus. Participants were given information on how to find and "kill" their targets. This was back in the 80's. Raise your hand if you think that movie could be made now.
That one and "Living Doll". Perhaps along with knowledge, folks should store a pair or two of reading glasses?

Two NASA facilities fun to tour are Langley and Wallops Island.

Oh thank God! I thought I was the only one. ;)
Ralph Steinman has died, he might not be awarded the Nobel after all. http://newswire.rockefeller.edu/?page=engine&id=1192

Airhorn into the phone? Nah, too harsh...
How about setting your updates (yes, even for add-ons) to NOT download automatically? That way you can at least control when they download...

It would also be a cheaper way to heat your pool in the winter and make your neighbors jealous!
I think it is a bit of both. Also, there is no hacker proof security setup that can GUARANTEE that noone will get into the missing laptops.
