That is true, I forgot that our load balancers do handle all the SSL. That said, we recently had to upgrade ours so that they could handle 2048bit ssl certificates (I believe) since the higher level of encryption was slowing down the devices (or maybe the web interface--not sure not my department).
If you're running a single server not at capacity, you probably don't care. When you're running a multi-server cluster with fault tolerance at near full capacity, 2% can be the difference of needing an additional server in your cluster. When you're a poorly funded company (ex. Wikipedia) with inadequate resources on a high profile site, you care. When you're bandwidth is enough that you are combining images into css sprites, you care.
You actually cannot default on government issued student loans, even with bankruptcy. Student loans will persist, and eventually the government will contact your employer (if/when you have one) and automatically deduct payments from your paycheck.
Having just traveled to a spanish speaking country, I can say with certainty that I did not use voice translation at all. That said, Wordlens (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/word-lens/id383463868?mt=8 and again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2OfQdYrHRs) was so useful in a restaurant as a vegetarian trying to figure out what was meat and what was not...
Didn't they recently add the ability to use an ios device as a remote for AppleTV? That would seemingly be the initial play on the console market by setting up the console and having people buy the components before they were even aware they were...
That and charging 400 bucks for a control without a 2 year contract (or however much with a contract) seems like a ridiculously profitable business model.
Having haggled with ARIN, I have to say it is a pain in the ass to get IP addresses from them (though they are really nice people on the phone). Hackers hack computers with existing IPs. That's why they are called hackers. Spammers on the other hand, purchase services from hosting providers who have purchased IPs. And if they abuse their IPs they fire them as customers. I know because that's what we do at our datacenter.
By the end of next year, Sprint aims to have a combined WiMAX/LTE population coverage of 176 million -- with 123 million covered by LTE and 76 million overlapping both.
They are planning on overlapping the technologies.
Our company facebook page has an open wall to our friends... though honestly I wish more of our customers would post to it... Good or bad feedback is appreciated. We need that feedback to fix our business, or know that things don't need fixing.
Another mitigating factor was that 70 percent of Japan's data centers are in the Tokyo region, which escaped relatively lightly. There are no data centers in the northeast where the tsunami hit, in part because that's precisely where tsunamis are expected.
They actually used the Brothers grim as a reference, not the Bible. Hansel and Grettle killing the witch. The which in snow white being made to dance on fire in ruby slippers, etc.
Right, and part of the ruling against the california state law was that the law was biased against a particular media outlet--aka video games--without being biased against other outlets--such as comic books, movies, music, radio, etc. This is in part why it was a first amendment issue--the bill sought to stifle a type of expression in one media but not others. The studies that the state of California showed as proof (probably similar to yours) did not indicate that there was a greater tendency towards violence with video games then other sources.
I didn't RTFA, but I did look at it. Did anyone see the screenshot of that robot? Who cares if it can tell you're coming. It's got 4 wheels, and couldn't hit a top speed with any amount of debris around it. Seeing as its lockheed, I'm willing to bet picking up one of those just net you a cool 100 million dollars.
As much as we got back the money with interest from some companies, the amount of money we lost on AIG completely wipes it out. The 1.1 Billion that Goldman-Sachs payed back pales in comparison to the 50 billion of the 180 billion that they got out of the AIG bailout.
You also agree that you will not use these products for any purposes prohibited by United States law, including, without limitation, the development, design, manufacture, or production of nuclear, missile, or chemical or biological weapons.
I know Apple products are great and all, but they do have their limits of use.
In real life it will be covered in dust and hair and stick to that crap instead of your surface after a few removals.
You have problems if your ceiling is covered in hair.

The 4th dimension is time. Just an FYI.
And you forgot:
8. Yelled at Ma to get them some meatloaf.

How about the awesome bar search? That is the single greatest improvement in Windows 7, and why I recommend everyone upgrade.
I feel that this story might be the least interesting piece of research being done at the entire university.
Feel free to counter post more interesting examples.
When that was marked as funny I though it was a joke until i RTFA...

Did any data centers in the wet zone survive?
From the Article:

I remember when Nokia phones were good enough on there own merit. Now they rely on their patent wallet.
I thought people went to college to get laid, and do drugs, and then get that piece of paper.

Wait, how do you explicitly quit an application?
Really-- I think they have a sense of humor like those IBM guys...
One of my favorite clauses in the Apple iTunes Terms and Conditions:
