In a wake of sites like YouTube.com Emusic.com that pay artist back and a internet penetration on a rise there is no place for RIAA in years to come. Lower royalties..? nope, exactly the opposite, artist royalties will jump up due to cutting off the middlemen (RIAA) and there will be fierce competition in the "music hostings" of YouTube.com and alikes. Also more and more youngsters opts for emusic.com myspace.com etc. instead of RIAA & publishers. Its only matter of time when they will be rendered non-important and taken over by YouTube.com, GOOGLE, Yahoo or other 10%+ growing companies.
Time has come to some small smart developers will make idiots out of these wannabe big timers. And its already happening look what Valve did and are doing with "Steampowered.com" to big ass publisher industry. Even now, those rich ass CEOs are shaking not knowing what the age of massive downloading and pure on-demand may bring them. Cutting off the rich middle man, hahaha, juicy.
May be I should post MY own ingenious scheme on Wikipedia and then proclaim international standard.
Once I can claim the standard I will then be levitated into the high-earning circles in no time.., right?

Any serious commercial software house will smack you in the face with a flat refusal if they hear you worked for SourceForge.org, this is just ridiculous, only some terrible loser programmer would want to join the elephant graveyard of failed software to help undermine any existing software business.
Google/YouTube is going to storm TV, or at least deteoriate their ratings. Those TV CEOs are scary to death of this new fenomenon and also of what is comming next, because they have no control over any new threat that could arise from the internet, any kind of new YouTube thing may damage their ratings even more. So I bet they will sue to death over any violations whatsoever.

with the penetration of google toolbar they could have solved this long time ago. alexa toolbar tracking is just not so dependable as google tracking could have been. but i guess that would only cast light on the dirty truth of much lower exposure web has thus hurting google s adsense program...
