Enough of this "We found a cure! We're headed to trials!" crap. We've seen this for the past 20 years, yet NONE of these 'cures' are actually used on a daily basis.
Either put up, or shut up.
I will never own a DVR for this exact reason. Hollywood is basically making DVR's useless with their fucking DRM and broadcast flags.
And if I was on a service, I'd cancel it and state my reasons "Why spend the money for the privilege to record when I can't? good bye"
Good thing I don't fly, or have much use in flying.
The more passengers that the Airlines turn away, the more that the passengers will turn away and stop flying. Let them die. They charge too much anyways.
What Apple doesn't want is the same problems that plague the Windows world: 20 vendors for each type of hardware lead to billions of possible configurations, some hardware works good together and some doesn't but there is no way to know 100%.
With that in mind, What Apple *could* do is *LIMIT* the licensing of OSX to dealers like Dell, Toshiba, Sony, etc and so that a person could only buy OSX on a PC through them. That way, Apple doesn't have to deal with the billions of configurations that a P.C could have, they only have to deal with the very limited amount of configurations that those companies offer.
They sue people on 'behalf' of the artists, but the artists get almost nothing. Now they are going to the software so that all they have to do is buy the software once and not pay anybody else.
Console gaming will eventually kill PC gaming. It is cheaper for developers since they don't have to make the game to work on 20 million PC configurations, only 1 console configuration. Plus, consumers have to spend a fortune to upgrade their systems to play the newest games. Even some video cards alone are more pricey then a whole console system.
But ONLY if this were to cover everything that is under the RIAA banner, and not under the RIAA banner. Every piece of music from every company. It would have to be an 'all or nothing' for this to actually work.
Having a robotic military means that no humans have to die (or very little). Which is a VERY good thing. But, having said that, without the fear involved in war, war then becomes nothing more then a Starcraft match. War will become this "why worry? its only robots" thing, and so war won't be as feared as before. Everyone hates/fears war (except those who profit), and so, making real war into a Starcraft game would downplay the horrors of war, and no one will be against it. After all..their just robots.
I hate frivolous lawsuits, or lawsuits that clearly only benefit the lawyers and no one else, but I also hate the oil companies with a passion as well.
It is because of botnets is why a lot of sites have CAPTCHA on it. Every time the hackers find a way to hack CAPTCHA, a new CAPTCHA system is made. How about making all of them audio only instead? It would be a lot harder to crack. Or, make a simple test like "how many objects are there?"
Its bad enough that SACD, Minidisc, Betamax and all of your other formats failed, why do you have to introduce another one? Do you LIKE to fail 90% of the time?
I personally don't drink, so I have nothing to worry about. If this is used to reduce drunk drivers or to find out what is the source of abuse, I'm all for it.
Sounds like Dubya has this genetic glitch..
Are they going to use this as a case to make everyone get implanted microchips??
I hope this will make Comcast stop being greedy little bitches...
Just like the RIAA and MPAA, the Telcos would rather sue, then to actually WORK for their money.
About time a judge follows the law instead of following the money.
How about requiring a license to *use* a computer? There are a lot of people that buy a computer yet know next to nothing about them.

Whoever buys this is a tool for empty hype and has more money then brains, apparently.
Such an appalling law. If I was in the U.S, I would begin writing to my representative now.

Dubya Dicator Bush *can* actually do what's right for the people. I thought it was totally impossible!

That's the sound of Chevron or Exxon putting money on the table to buy this technology.

Better do something about Flickr too...it is pretty much the largest source of free pornographic pictures.
Good luck getting ME to install any filters on my computer. It is *MY* computer. Not yours. Back off.

And also ultra-fast throttling to match..
