Shouldn't the FCC (or other government-run agency) shut down this site for blatant false advertising?
No dating/hookup sits should have fembots or fake profiles just to lure men in. Every profile should have a real, paying person behind it. Period. Anything else is simply false advertisement.
Shouldn't it be at this point that the government steps in and forces the businesses to hire people who may not be trained, but has the educational background to prove that they can be?
It's like the businesses expect people to have a 10+ year degree in a field that's only 2 yrs old, and offer piss-poor wages for it.
Wouldn't the self driving cars be engineered in a way that it can sense a clog forming and be able to re-route traffic around a clog, and mitigate congestion?
The ISP's won't disconnect pirates because those people pay to have an internet connection. Why should the ISP's willingly stop a revenue source just to appease the MPAA?
It shouldn't. Policing pirates isn't the job of the ISP. It isn't their responsibility.
All it says for Netflix is that it's 'flawless'. What about some details behind that? does it do HD properly? Does it output 5.1 surround sound?
Also, they didn't go through any really good playback reviews. Like..does it have the power to play blu-ray rips in mkv? Does it output 5.1 surround sound? Can it output DTS-HD/Tru HD?
To me (and probably others) This kind of information is VITAL.
The one thing which the iWatch must have is the ability to function *on it's own*. If it 'needs' to be paired up with an iPhone in order to be useful, it's completely dead in the water and useless.
The iWatch should be simple: display time, date, fitness apps and music. It shouldn't need to be fed data from an iPhone to look at messages or texts.
It should also have a headphone jack, it shouldn't rely on bluetooth audio.
IF ISP's can block certain websites, then why are they now blocking the more disgusting sites out there like child porn sites, or sites similar? I would think that the government would want to eliminate those from the face of the earth before wasting their time on trying to block music and movie pirating sites..
Whenever the Canadian Government tries a bill like it, it ends up not going through or delayed enough to the point of the next election, then it's ignored for a while.
Ha. The FCC would be flooded with so many complaints that they wouldn't have a choice but to declare filters legal.
If they did declare filters illegal, it would leave the whole e-mail system useless until software companies like Microsoft and Mozilla start to program filters right into the software which would be updated through their usual updates.
- Offer online reservations.
- Blu-rays and DVD's are the same price
- Free popcorn in small bags
- Eliminate late fees. The one thing that pisses people off the most is rushing down to the store before it closes to avoid the late fee. Many people probably never return to a rental place if they pay a late fee.
- Have enough copies in in stock for newer movies. The 'New Releases' wall was almost entirely empty every time I went. It really pissed me off.
- New movies should be the same price as the older movies, or at the very least, put the "new" movie releases into the 'regular' priced section a lot faster. Rogers Video often had New Releases there for 6 months before moving them. Pathetic. One month maximum.
- Maybe offer something like Netflix did for their physical rentals - tiered pricing: Rent 'x' movies at a time for a certain price per month. The more they want, the more they pay.
- Offer regular movie fair snacks like chips and drinks.
Of course America turns from science, because America is based from greed and profit by any means necessary, that includes ignoring science if there's enough of a financial incentive to do so.
Lets see what would happen if Louis Vuitton succeeded if SOPA was in place:
1) Louis Vuitton would force all theatres to stop showing the movie
2) Would have all DVD/Blu-ray copies pulled from the shelves
3) Would have all of the WB execs pay a huge fine
4) Have all of WB's websites pulled down
5) Have all of WB's movies pulled from shelves
My sick/cynical self kind of wants to see SOPA pass, to see how it would explode in the faces of those who endorsed it.
This guy asked for a web site editor, and also says 'Notepad isn't a good replacement'...and everyone suggests about 500 other text editors. I don't think this guy wants a text editor, otherwise he would have asked for a text editor..
The file size is like 10X the file size of an mp3, and it doesn't nearly sound 10x better. It's a *very* small gain in audio quality compared to the file size that comes with it.
The only reason I buy FLAC, when I can, is for archiving and in case the mp3 files become lost or distorted somehow. That's it, otherwise I listen to mp3's
I'll ONLY be interested in SSD's once they reach the exact same price point per gig as a rotating hard drive.
I can buy a 2TB HDD for $100. Can't get 2TB on an SSD for $100 now can we? No, no we can't.
haha,. Good luck with that.
Going against ALL ISP's in the US is like trying to go against God.
Rightcorp will lose. They might as well declare bankruptcy now and walk away.

Sorry, that's not how the world works.
Iran should think about joining the 21st century in policy and laws before they adopt 21st century technology.
If they want to live in the year 600, they shouldn't be wanting to use the internet and technology in general.
Wouldn't the self driving cars be engineered in a way that it can sense a clog forming and be able to re-route traffic around a clog, and mitigate congestion?
Simply make it a financial cost to the company for sending any e-mail to employees after work hours.
1 e-mail is instantly considered 4 hours of overtime pay. 2 is equal to 8, and so on.
If the employer doesn't want to pay the overtime, then they don't send e-mails. Period.
And the ISP's and servers have records of the e-mails being sent, so they can't deny it either.
The ISP's won't disconnect pirates because those people pay to have an internet connection. Why should the ISP's willingly stop a revenue source just to appease the MPAA?
It shouldn't. Policing pirates isn't the job of the ISP. It isn't their responsibility.
My price is $1000/month, no less.
Does this mean that Netflix will (finally) be surround sound through the browser?
It's not a complete review by any stretch.
All it says for Netflix is that it's 'flawless'. What about some details behind that? does it do HD properly? Does it output 5.1 surround sound?

Horrible idea.
I'd rather be killed than use this.

Why do I picture a bunch of obese Americans throwing hash browns at some Chinese people??
Seriously, did they look at the Dark Knight and say "Hey, that massively illegal cell-phone-Sonar concept was a good idea, lets look into it"
Ha. The FCC would be flooded with so many complaints that they wouldn't have a choice but to declare filters legal.

Only 5 years? In surprised that they weren't executed, considering it's China.
5 years is nothing when the teen has to go through a lifetime of medical procedures...
