That is the way that it is. The only way to get around this is to have something like DVDs with different regions... and please please, lets not go there!
Exchange rates are a fact of life for most of us. In New Zealand you wait for the NZD to get strong and buy from amazon... When it is weak, you put some in savings (waiting for the next strong time).
Listen, the USD could get weak (and some have forecast as much), then you get Win7 on the cheap in the UK.
Do the free upgrade or wait for the USD to weaken... makes for an interesting exec meeting I am sure...

I am wondering the chemistry applications of this. I bet you can make some very interesting compounds out of this material. A one sided molecule kind of redefines limiting agent would it not?

The more languages, the more of a pain for support, debugging, and dev hand-off.
If the solution is going to make money, make time to think of how you can grow the business (I.E hire developers and develop a position description). Things in this perspective get ugly when you have 5 components developed with 5 different languages..

I got time with someone running for US Senate and he was going to look into this. He was not elected. The other candidate (incumbent) was not interested. I will leave you to figure out why.
I can go on about the blatant fraud that IMO I saw firsthand. However, clamping down will only fuel outsourcing even more. It is an ugly paradox.

FUD, no. More of a real disappointment over the Silverlight 1.1. When you go to all of the.net user groups, etc. and think to yourself "wow this is cool" - then sit down and play for 3-4 hours and realize how it falls so short, it leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth. The whole xceed thing ($) is what really got me.
I may look at sl 2.0, but I still have to get over the first (bad) impression of sl 1.1.

silverlight 1.0 had not XAML controls for the simple datagrid control. OMG what a stuff up! You had to go to xceed to get one and pay for it.
That little detail made me so mad that I have sworn off silverlight. The message was clear, if your a small development shop, you cannot afford silverlight.
Oh by the way, where is the automated testing framework for writting automated UI tests against it? anyone?... anyone?...

I had a prof in University that had a full division of mathematics named after his work. He would describe a math proof by how many cans of beer he drank before finishing the proof. (no kidding).
300 years from now archaeologists will look back and see a sudden stop to music, documents, and film. This is what is at stake, our cultural place in history.

Hand this guy a potato sack for clothing
and a shopping cart for his belogings.
Then send him and his other voices on there merry way.
But really, anyone that has studied topology at all can see the stupidity in this.

I heard that there is a class action case on this. What is the scoop on this?
And if you disable WPA, what does that do to your machine (for WU updates)?

His contribution will be felt for generations to come. My wife had some of his training.. He will be missed.
