It's set some 4000 years before eps 1-6, and the first one tells the tale of some dark jedi who, whether or not he takes over the galaxy, is completely irrelevant 4000 years in the future.
But the draw is, it's a pretty well done Star Wars game and they can take some liberties without violating cannon. Though it is disappointing to see such a stagnant universe, since it doesn't really seem too different in a tech way from the future.
There version of Yoda also speaks English properly.
"Undercarriage takes one good "whomp" on landing but time spent taxiing is a very small part of the overall life of the vehicle"
With that said, it is a pretty huge f'ing whomp. Airplane undercarriage and suspension might not be designed to let the vehicle corner at high speeds (like, say, a sports car suspension would) but it is still very, very strong.
After all, think of what happens if the pilot makes an error and comes down a bit too hard. Bam, no more undercarriage and you're hosed.

If by this you mean multiple programs can output sound at the same time, then yes.

On F8, with a Broadcom wireless card, I needed to cut the firmware out of the windows driver. That was annoying. After that it works well. I wish I had an intel card.
>>What's with Flash?
On an i386 it works fine. Just make sure to install an extra package that allows the sound to work with Pulse Audio. With that said, at least one of the versions of Adobe's plugin isn't too stable...

Seems to be doing ok.

Yum does seem slower than apt-get, but I haven't had any problems with it besides.

The open source radeon driver seems to be working well with my older hardware.

I'd try a livecd. Just be aware that most of the software won't be there, since there is only so much that can fit on a livecd.
I use debian on my other computer. So far, I'm liking fedora better. But debian is still pretty good.

heh heh, woops.

1. Yes, ANTLR is an LL parser. There is a java parser implementation in ANTLR as well.
2. The set of languages parseable by an LR parser is a superset of the set parseable by an LL parser.
Ergo, yes, you can indeed parse Java with an LR parser.
But you're a slashdot reader.
That bang you hear from a rifle, is a bullet passing the sound barrier, is it not?

And I was so looking forward to buying a copy of Spore.
It's things like this and the steep hardware upgrade curve, but mostly this, that has turned me off of gaming.

Some say he reads Slashdot every day,
and others say that despite this, he still can pick up chicks.
All we know is, he's called The Stig.
Where's the cream filling?
Earth. That's the stuff.

Sorry? Isn't big business *the* industry curve?
What is your definition of industry curve?
^ Didn't Dijkstra say that goto statements are harmful? :P
I'd imagine you get more steering feel from a mechanical linkage as well, which you might lack from a drive by wire system.
It might be new tech, but the mainframe is still an old concept.
...Duuhhh?
I know you can build your own, but I'm interested specifically in laptops.
I was a fish. And that we could buy computers without an OS if we chose to.
I can't comment about Ubuntu and PulseAudio, but Fedora 8 has never given me an ounce of trouble.
ymmv
Sometimes you need acceleration, even at relatively high speeds.
For that you need power.
More power increases the top speed.
^I know, but the joke was far too good to pass up, eh.
Researchers in Fairbanks, Alaska have just created a room temperature superconductor.

I use linux because it is more convenient for programming assignments (CS undergrad). Getting compilers/interpreters/devtools etc. is a snap.
Also because the UI is easier to use and more powerful.
Insensitive clods.
