Without quoting stats or whatever, I recall clearly that some of the fastest lines in North America from the mid to late 90s was in Eastern Canada aka the Maritimes. From my understanding, this region was a test bed for fiberoptics when the big bells first got the technology, and not only did it work, it worked quite well.
While living in the states at that time I was always jealous of my pals up North for their bandwidth.
So yeah, Canadians have internet, and most likely, it's faster than yours.

The worst part of the whole race for me was the peninsula around some bleeding park. The temp dropped approximately 10 degrees (F) as we hit that park and if I recall correctly, it was also near mile 18 or so, which is where I hit "The Wall".
All in all, that's a fun race, and one helluva-way to burn some calories.

Your being able to say that honestly is a testament to good leadership and well round personalities. I'd rather work in a shop where the techs speak to you in digestible language than tech jargon all day(of which I can speak, thanks).
Aside from showing great poise and good customer service skills, it's just nice to not have to break out a translator in order to figure out what "the tech" just said. We make it a practice where I work to behave in a similar manner.

The only cert I hold is a degree from the school of hard knocks. Granted, I work for a state university now and have decided to finally go to school (the discount helps - a lot), but I have never given much credence to certs in the past as I am too busy working in IT to spend time to study for a test that only shows I have the ability to learn how to work in IT.
Go figure.
