I'd be willing to bet the real reason why they move support back onshore is because they were losing customers due to shoddy support, not because of the cost of helping them.
Seems only fair that if the telcos want UW to pay back the grant money that was given to them by the federal government, then AT&T should have to pay back the roughly $200 billion they stole from the public to make available 45 MBit, fiber connections to the public...that they never did.
$2000-5000 per month? Hell, I make that doing my legitimate job (and I get full benefits + stock options). Not wroth the risk of potentially going to prison.
Seriously. As bad as/. makes it sound, you really do develop good people skills and are generally liked more by the general public after having mastered dealing with bullies, idiots, know-it-alls, etc (assuming they're not one of the aforementioned characters). Good people skills are infinitely more valuable than anything school will teach you.
Isn't it interesting that Mac malware is suddenly on the rise not long after the Mac App Store comes out. Now I'm not saying that Apple is creating or encouraging the creation of malware to try to scare people into using their walled garden. I'm just saying, isn't the timing interesting?
The Mac App Store made Macs so popular suddenly that it gave malware writers the motivation to target them.
That company would be best advised to bite the bullet and implement it 3 times...using the correct and supported languages for the targeted platform...that is if they enjoy staying in business.
Bravo
Probably Win2000
Smart move.

It is not uncommon for americans to hang up if they find out the 1-800 number they are calling goes to Mexico. I imagine it is worse for India.
To most call-center managers, that's a problem solved!
I like the cut of your gib.
No, that's a spoon!
Why did a lot of Slashdot users support Linux?
I would have said it's because they like to swing around their big ePeens...at least that's why I got into Linux.
The iPad...next question?
Doesn't moving from first-to-invent to first-to-file essentially get rid of the Prior Art argument when attempting to invalidate a patent?
It's pretty terrible.

Here's a hint...try going full-time, you idiot.

Bravo! Mod parent up.
Finally get a chance to get all those pr0n fills that nobody would ever repost.
What a Lodsys of bullshit. I hope these guys die horrible deaths.

Translation: We're too dumb to fight fire with fire, so we'll do what we know best...KILL KILL KILL!
3.1.1 would only be a developmental version (ie, not a stable release version)
The Linux kernel uses an even-odd system version numbering system, such that any odd-numbered minor version number is a development (beta) version.
It refers to the "golden" copy...that is, the master copy.

By native, I mean there's a fully supported jvm available for it that isn't currently trying to play catchup with an upstream vendor.
