"Ok, my fellow Europeans, we're done milking Microsoft for now. Who else do you know that rakes in over 6 billion greenies a year ? Hit them with a 10 digit, boys !"
"The new observations have a resolution equivalent to being able to see, from Earth, a baseball on the surface of the moon."
Screw baseballs, I want to see the American flag waving on the Moon.
"Astronomers from St Andrews University in the UK have discovered a planetary system which looks much like our own. Dr Martin Dominik told BBC news: 'We found a system with two planets that take the roles of Jupiter and Saturn in our Solar System. Now all they have to do is die and hope that God puts them there for a closer look:)
I'm just glad to see Sony unable to milk the cash cow anymore at their poor customer's expense. In the LCD world they're just an average competitor, even if they keep charging you extra for their "premium" badge, which isn't all that premium anymore.
I tested every browser mentioned in the article at some point. Kestrel is still my first choice. I fired them up on a lowly 1 GHz Duron with 128 MB of RAM and Win XP Pro (I know, I know...) and lo and behold... They were all crawling, except for Opera 9.50 beta, which was running as smooth as it did on some high end boxes. Sure, there were the occasional hiccups, but it was running swell while most of the others were swapping data.
I'm not trying to convert anyone here or start any napalm bombing runs, but I think overall Opera's the better browser. I'd much rather have tons of pretested built-in functionality than wait for some users to cough up some tardy addons that most of the time don't work for me. To each his own, I guess.

Is AMD Dead Yet?

For the next 3 years ? How do you figure ? Let's not forget that AMD is the one that forces you to change the mainboard along with every processor of theirs you might want to use. 939, AM2, AM2+... At least with Intel I can buy a socket 775 P35 today and still use Penryn and Wolfdales with a mere BIOS update. Intel isn't exactly consumer-friendly either, but AMD has taken it one step beyond.
You say an AMD system costs half as much... Well, by all means, do provide some examples.
Oh and btw... If AMD was ever cheap, it's because they were in an awkward position and forced to drop prices to be competitive. Let's not forget their love for the consumer when their Athlon line was kicking butt. Marketing 101... They're not more protective of us.
To be perfectly honest, I just want two things from the Japanese:
1. Show us a clear shot of the American flag there (to put to rest all those pesky conspiracy theories, once and for all)
2. In the name of all that's holy, please don't use names like Takazigashi Homochikimura on new lunar features !
Thanks.
Let us European tree huggers protect the planet. You just keep on rolling in your five-point-oh's and give us a call in 30 years or so, from below the heavy CO2 winter clouds.
Astronauts, you say ? I can definitely see many applications right below the magnetosphere.
Tired of the wife, kids, mortgage, urban stress and immune to http://www.davesdaily.com/pictures/302-fukitol.htm ? Energize !
It looks like the Earth is slowly progressing towards a different climate. How much that has to do with global warming caused by greenhouse gases is anybody's guess. It looks like a natural cycle that comes by every 15-20 000 years or so. Might be the dawn of a new Ice Age for all we know. I hear it starts with a slight rise in temperatures all over.
One thing's for certain: this DOES make entire species extinct, it's just that this time there is someone around to worry about them. Mother Nature knows best.
Step aside, Seleucid warriors, here comes the almighty Damascan army. They've been raiding hard these past few months and I hear they've downed quite a few baddies. They've all got some new purple weapon that you losers can only dream about (some nanotube sword, +15 to all attributes).
Yeah, I know this is redundant, but you shouldn't tarnish Romania's reputation. It's bad enough that we have to use only European online banking sites for legitimate money transfers, cause the Americans have us classified as "card-stealing plague". I know we've had to deal with our share of malicious people, but we're pretty much out of the Middle Ages now, you know...
It's really annoying when you try to buy/sell stuff through E-bay and you want to sign up for a Paypal account, only to notice that your country is "misteriously" missing from the drop-down list. Save for Moneybookers and a couple of other European sites maybe, the rest of the internet banking world has us blacklisted, and that's just wrong.
... get away from the computer now ! Your pal John is here, he says he's bringing your shovel back. Let your dad use the computer, I saw him cleaning up his chainsaw last night. He kept babbling something... "Chat room... Annoyance... Must kill !"
... all these songs from exhibit B, which resided on my HDD, were duped from perfectly legal sources (namely CD's) that I rushed out and bought right after RIAA has launched its accusations. I find them pretty good... My pirating days are over ! Set me free !
... of the futility of it all. Good job, Nature !

I'd suggest a switch to Gmail, it's got nicer themes.
Asus bundles their next product with Photoshop CS4 and 3ds Max CD's :)
Damn, I thought I had a dead pixel. But then I scrolled down. Barely though... Must have been your black hole pulling back on my page :)

All this moonwalking is gonna end up with us staring at the big rock that's gonna wipe us out.

Indians walking on the Moon ? Holy cow !
