Anyway, I just recently installed Mandrake 9.0, Im still a relative newbie to the linux scene but this is the easiest distro to install and use. I like Mandrake, its allowing me to familiarize myself with linux, while making the crossover from Windows relatively painless.

linux is cheaper, more powerul, alot more stable then whats out there...plus it looks nice on your resume...
ease of use..learn how to use something properly and there will be no issue of how easy it is to use..guess command line is to much for someone like you
and if more people knew how to use computers it would put less of a premium on those skills..which would affect people with programming/engineering skills..

i hope this star trek is alot better then voyager..only reason to watch voyager is seven of nine...DS9 was pretty kool in my opnion..well atleast when they had the war with the dominion in full swing..
but i always thought it would be kool if they did a star trek based on a kligion ship...klingions as the main characters..more action..less talking..and certainly less prime directive issues...
i luv'd TNG but sometimes i wished they would jus fire photons and blew up anyone that gave em problems...besides klingions are the most popular of the alien races and it would bring about a new prespective...

i agree the P4 is not a complete failure..
it beats amd in two things consistantly..
quake and dvd encoding..
still i think its pretty sad that they get beaten by amd chips on everything else especially when P4's are at such a faster core clock? and a higher price..
by the way not a whole lot of software needs 3.2 gigs of bandwidth..and i dont think that will change by Q3 cause thats when this core of the p4 is phased out
