Dude... If you fall asleep on my couch, the cat will extend her paw 2 1/2 feet in the air (over the arm rest), sink her claws into the back of your skull, and then pull them back out again.
Scares the living shit out of you the first few times!
Well, [ & ] can be hit with a single key, whereas < & > require the shit key to be hit as well.
The one thing I hate about typing (especially when programming), is how many times I have to hit that god damn shit key. My left little finger starts to hurt a lot when I've been programming for a while.
Ok, all you guys out there bitching about iTunes not working in linux, consider yourselves lucky. Not only is iTunes a piece of shit, but linux has some of the best music applications ever made.
The following are IMHO way better than iTunes, and handles iPods just fine.
Amarok (1.x and 2.0)
Rhythmbox
SongBird
many more
Come one guys, if you can get online without having to insert you telus installation disk, I'm sure you can get songs on and off of an iPod...
Note: Yes, I know the iPod touch and iPhone are currently unsupported, but believe me, they are working on it!
A torrent file contains nothing but a title and a list of trackers, along with some other technical data.
The only thing even remotely copyrightable about them is the title. The format is standard (LOTS of prior art) and you can not copyright facts (list of servers/trackers).

I like to relate links to road signs. Could you sue someone for posting a sign with directions to an illegal protest, even if they never personally went anywhere near it?
Yes I know it shipped afterwards (and was hardly used), my point was that originally it was SUPPOSED to be the big jump to 64 bit. Did you even read my post? The 4th word was "supposed"!
Isn't that kind of the same way that flour turns into either cake or pancakes depending on how we measure it's reaction with heat alongside other materials?
Sorry, couldn't resist comparing your insightful post to a recipe.:p
Actually, you would be surprised at how many people have heard of linux. 90% of them have no idea what in the hell it is, but they have heard a mention of it from "somewhere".
The more people hear linux, even if they don't fully understand it, it still removes a lot of the fear induced when someone tries to get them to drop windows.
I can't believe that to this day, Windows STILL doesn't have a progress bar for boot-up or shut-down. Linux (almost every distro) has had this for at least 3 or 4 YEARS!
But hey, they barely have the progress bar working for copying files, so what-ever...
By the time the stuff is upgraded it should run on 64bit MS Windows 7 and the whole 32 bit Vista debacle will be behind us.
Wan't XP pro supposed to be the big jump to 64 bit? Then when that failed I heard that 32 bit vista wouldn't even be available. Now, 2 versions later, you are saying that W7 will end this 32 bit crap? Sure....
I hate it when people say "web designer".
A person who does photoshop mock-ups and GUI ideas is a "web designer".
The sucker that has to take these intriquitly imagined nightmares and make them happen are "web developers.
Some people do both (good for them), but if you've ever had to build a website under the guise of a graphics artist, you will know exactly what I mean.
Exterior door?

...could you please give me those two minutes of my life back?
That took you two minutes to read???
Flamebait?!? Is there a TSA with mod points around here or something...?

So much for reading it...

Wow, unless the regulators can initiate a NEW antitrust settlement pretty quick, the just got ripped off...
I also noticed that there is nothing about inbreeding in that law. Oh well, this is Louisiana we're talking about...
Obligatory.

Isn't that basically what they did with Blue-ray?
Only if you can get them to water. Otherwise they are just very inefficient cars.
Thank You. Somebody else finally realised the true goal of advertising!
Now when you advise someone to try linux, instead of hearing "What is linux?", you will hear "Hmm, I've heard of that..."
Those who use it, love it. Those who don't, say "meh".

The software no longer qualifies as useful once it is on a Windows platform.

Not to mention his UID is so low, they don't even bother posting it...
