I worked at Intel as an unpaid intern for about 8 months. I didn't get hired afterwards, I didn't really make any great contacts (met some great people though). However, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I might go as far to say it changed my life. It all really depends on what you plan on getting out of it. You should also learn what your responsibilities and duties are going to be before you even start (like any real job). It's your own fault at that point.
Of course that's total BS, but the article doesn't even say what the white house actually believes is "hostile"... The article quotes the white house saying they are operating in a support role: refueling and information. The only mention of doping bombs and drones was made by a republican. That doesn't mean we didn't drop bombs when the conflict started, but where's the factual information that says we are doing that now? The majority of the comments here are people being outraged by something that's not relevant to the articles or even true for all we know (at least i haven't seen any factual information supporting it).
Has anyone even bothered to actually read the articles being cited? No where does it actually say the White House (or Obama) stated that using drones to blow stuff isn't considered hostile. Nor does it even state what exactly was disagreed on by him and his staff.
Exactly what I was thinking... I don't actually see any factual information that even says we are using drones to bomb targets... just speculation and political BS from the opposition. How many people actually read the two articles i wonder?
So here I am, at work. My phone dies and I need a charger. we have all kinds of phones and not a single one has the same samsung connector... NOT EVEN THE ONE SAMSUNG PHONE I WAS ABLE TO FIND!
Too bad I don't live in the EU... but atleast this might make them go standard in all regions.
That's what we are doing at my job (and the job I had before). Management wants to see more tickets in the reports so we look like we are busier then we really are... which we are already really busy. We make a ticket for everything we do. The smallest of issues get recorded. We were hoping this increase in ticket count would equal a new position but that didn't happen... we just get more work:|
I've only used Bing twice. Once when i heard about it on slashdot and then again after I saw a commercial... thought i'd give it another try. Other then a decent marketing campaign, Bing just doesn't have any new and exciting features that I like and that Google doesn't already have. Google does what I need so I'll continue using it.
"the first major, fantasy role-playing MMO with true PVP (full asset destruction possible)."
I'm not sure what "full asset destruction possible" means (I tried reading up on SB's pvp and i could see anything...) but UO was definitely one of the first fantasy MMO's to have true PVP system with lootable corpses and such. But even UO wasn't the first to do this. Legends of Kesmai had a full PVP/looting system in it as well and I'm pretty sure it came out before UO finished it's beta phase.
I want a card that will last me 5 years (like my good ol' 9700 pro) and not die on me 6 months after buying it like my last two (I've RMA'd both of them twice in their life time). During those 5 years it should be able to play any game on the shelf at a good frame rate with medium to high settings. Price doesn't matter as long as it works well and last long enough.
That's just great and all but when can I get a video card that doesn't take up half my case and melts down after 6 months of use? Not to mention, doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
I've had to call in a few gateway laptops and didn't have any problems at all until I called in on the day someone over at MPC decided to change their input applications and database. I was on the phone for 2+ hours and was eventually cut off and had to call back the next day when I was on the phone for another hour or two. Every time after that I've had nothing but problems from MPC. Every call took way too long and one person even told me to have the user I was supporting call them so submit the support request. WHAT?! After telling them how completely unprofessional that would be on my part and how angry my user would be, they created the ticket.
Now that this has been released, i wonder when the first lawsuit will be filed against [insert random government agency] for not having a W3C Web Accessibility Standard wesbite. Little Timmy can't read the website using his text to speech:(
sorry, let me rephrase slightly...
Yes there is already "Half Life: Source" but it looks like the old version with updated textures and physics. I don't think they had plans to do a complete remake like TF.
you pretty much answered your own question...
first off you were making a port for a competing engine, not using Source. Second, they were developing TF2 so why would they want someone else making a newer version of it on a different engine while they can make money off of theirs?
I bet they haven't made a big deal about it because they had no plans to make a Half Life remake and the modders are using Source.
"Sixty-nine percent of respondents correctly identified Germany and Japan. Among the incorrect answers were Britain, China, Russia, Canada, Mexico and Spain."
Technically weren't we enemies with Russia until Hitler turned on them? They did support Germany and helped them invade Poland. They even signed a pact/treaty to own invaded territories. It might not have been "official" but that's what we have been taught after all.
Granted all that was before we (The United States) entered the war, but we were very much involved in it way before Pearl Harbor.
Does it really matter?
Well there's the problem!
I think iOS is terrible. I don't like the UI at all. I can see where people find it easy to use and all that but I can't stand it.
I'll be happy if my app will just make it past app review limbo.

I wish I could take a nap in the middle of the day while at work...

This movie has no connection what so ever to that cartoon of the same name.

It might work better then the final RC because not all the "Features" have been implemented.

Wow that's very impressive. I wouldn't be surprised, if this does well, that the modders might see a future in the game industry.
Doh, it would help if i knew how to read... and looked at the test...
Given the choices "Germany and Japan" or "Russia and China" then there is only one clear answer.
"Sixty-nine percent of respondents correctly identified Germany and Japan. Among the incorrect answers were Britain, China, Russia, Canada, Mexico and Spain."
