As I write this, there is an Ad for USB stuff in

    1) USB Firewire Card
    2) USB 2.0 PCI Card
    3) USB 2.0 PCMCIA
    4) 2 Port USB 2.0 PCMCIA

Only one mentions the actual speed (no. 4 "Ultra Fast High Speed USB 2.0", you guess what that means)

The point is the Hardware Manufacturers/Retail companies are taking advantage of the confusion to
    mislead consumers. This is wrong.

SAP DB [sapdb.org] is free, open source and GPL. It also has all the best big-guy features. Not many people seem to know about it - it certainly has small mind-share. But it is the real stuff - miles ahead of MySQL.

But for some reason people ignore it. Is it because it is created by a company and not a group ? Or is it that everybody has already chosen their favorite free DB and won't look at others ?

FWIW, I mostly agree with you, but that doesn't mean the gov handled it well. They lie (child overboard) to confuse the issue. They keep refugees for years in lousy conditions, including the fair dinkum ones. They also appear to have committed us to a non-UN sanctioned invasion

And lets not forget the Telstra HDTVs that both John Howard and Richard Alston have for evaluation, funny how things go Telstra's way.

lets face it, they are bunch of self serving drongos whose main skills lie in getting themselves voted into office. But I guess thats not exclusive to Australia.
