I'm not a lawyer but can she even be held accountable for things that other people have committed? That doesn't make sense to me. If she downloads the song then she should only be able to be blamed for her one infringement not the 1000 possible infringements, which of those 1000 people they could all be taken to court and sued for helping 1000 other people steal.
I bought a computer about 1 year ago now and it's already feeling like a dinosaur. I wish I had the money to get this beast of a gfx card (and a new mother board, and more memory, and a new processor).
I would have to agree with you, not much hype around it here. There probably will be more once the ads start rolling out though, but I doubt it does much for hardware sales.
you are right life is worthless and we should all play video games, there is no point in expanding yourself. Video games are worthless get over it seriously.
ok video games are a little bit better than TV, only because of the social interaction. I still think people should get outside more and cut more media (TV/Video Games/Movies) out of their lives. After I moved to a bigger city and cut out a lot of media I can honestly say I'm a happier person.
That's the thing when does it turn from enjoyment to an addiction? 30+ hours a week does not seem like entertainment for me and what are they getting out of it? they can push buttons in a better sequence then somebody else?
The thing with games are that they are supposed to be fun but how often are they more of a job? especially online game.
It's not just that they spend so much time on this, it's also that they get absolutely nothing out of it (unless they are a gold farmer). I used to play 2-3 hours a day on WoW and that was just too much for me. I can't even imagine playing 16 hours a day like many people were reported to on our server. It's more than a full time job for many people.
sorry I guess I should have said upgrade. I enjoy progress and I wasn't seeing very much ground-breaking progress (I'm sure some people would disagree, but I'm talking in terms of myself) in WinXP and there wasn't enough progress in Vista for me to upgrade, especially for the increased cost.
Things I would have liked to see, which could have been implemented in XP
-Multiple Desktops without a plugin/addon
-Better Stability
-A better way to stop people hijacking my start-up, hijackthis worked well though
-not constantly using admin privileges, sure I could have used a limited account, until I needed to install something. Personally I like the Mac implementation of this the best.
Besides my friends who are really into new technology I haven't really heard any mention or hype from people around the Zune. I've seen 1 commercial, in a movie theater (I don't want much TV) and honestly I was kind of confused and not very impressed. It was trying to be kind of artsy and hip and in my opinion it didn't really work. At least according to http://bink.nu/Article7877.bink they plan on spending millions but I haven't seen it and the hype here, in Chicago, is still around the iPod.
Colbert especially feeds on his fans and Viral Video, just look at what power he has already (Hungarian bridge anybody). I think there is a lot to be said about youtube and it's power for legal markets to stake their claim in the online video market.
Personally if I found a colbert clip incredibly amusing/smart/witty I'd go look it up on youtube or on colbertnation and share it with my friends and family, it's a great way for them to get their name out.
People aren't switching because people act like him?
That really doesn't make any sense. Actually attacking MS is probably the way most people get others to switch to FF.
I actually have recently switched to Ubuntu 6.06 then 6.10. I use it all of the time now actually. I wouldn't say I switched because Vista is a pile of crap, I just like an OS that is updated more than once every 5 years and I don't need as much or any spyware, firewall, or AV protection and it works just as well for the majority of my tasks (web devel, program devel, E-mail, Docs, IM). Of course I keep my dual boot of XP for games, but I never plan on upgrading to Vista.
