  1. about time! on Xbox Live For Original Xbox Games Shutting Down · · Score: 2, Interesting

This is a good thing, that means more bandwidth and lower ping times for people who play 360 games, who wants to play halo 2 instead of halo 3 though? IMO halo 3 kicks the crap out of 2 any day of the week, looks better, plays better, is better. There is no excuse to NOT own a 360 by now, they have been out for 5 years and are dirt cheap.

I have never had that happen on my 360 (i cant speak for the ps3) but i install the game to the hard drive. The only game i have ever had that happen on was Saints row and i got took it back to the store after 20 min.

Right now, it might just be wiser to go buy a 360 or a ps3....and grab gta4....it would cost the same as buying a new processor, at least then the game would run perfect.

Honestly, i can't see the "free" service being a reason to purchase either or. This is coming from a owner of both console. I got a 360 to play my games on, and a ps3 to play blu-rays and ps3 exclusives (mgs4 mainly...i got the mgs4 bundle for this sole reason). Reason for this is because the 360 has better graphics with a slightly more vibrant image when it comes to games. Yeah the PSN has a 'O.K" network, but Xbox Live trump's it in almost every way, add-on's cost more on PSN anyways to top it off. Live just costs a whole whopping $50 a month. Reasons to purchase these devices should be on their notable hardware features/capability, but not the most irrelevant thing like the "network access fee"...sheesh...some people.

I'm a owner of what some might call a "Lemon", its a 2000 ford focus, uh yeah its known to be a real dud, but my E-brake literally locks my rear tires, even if i'm driving and use it, it works great for e-brake slides around some corners. If anything the E-brake should lock your tires at 70mph and cause them to either leave long black streaks and possibly blow, or slow you down while leaving a long black streak

Does this include funding for nuclear fusion projects in the US? Or just the current fission reactor based technology? One scientist said there's a 50% chance of fusion becoming a reality 20 years after it gets serious funding. I agree with him

Well these day's you have too many people who prefer to just stand around and observe rather than step in and prevent someone from getting killed or beaten to death. From the way i understand this law, those bystanders who chose to do nothing are also held responsible and are required to pay a fine. Which I believe is right, because there is no excuse in the world to not step in and prevent something from happening, especially if its a group of bystanders who don't step in.

  9. Re:Blame Sony, not the hacker on PS3 Hacked? · · Score: 1

The PS3 actually works amazingly well with Windows 7 media sharing ability, why someone would want to go to such lengths as to use a 3rd party app just blows me away. Microsoft sure went all out when it comes to the media sharing in Win7, its flawless IMO, there's no slowdowns, refreshing the media library and adding new files takes seconds in WMP12. Pretty much every format that the PS3 supports will play back with out any issues...I use mkv2vob for my mkv's and for anything that isn't an mkv and does not happen to play on the PS3, i just use RipBot264 and make a h264 MP4 file. I have found that 3rd party apps only use up ram, slow shit down and sometimes don't work properly at all. Win7+WMP12 seem to be perfect for sharing media to the PS3 and the 360 (i own both consoles).

  10. Re:I really want XBMC-HD for PS3 on PS3 Hacked? · · Score: 1

Uhh...What happened to just using Windows 7 to stream media??? It works without flaws, know your formats, mkv2vob converts all your mkv's into a ps3 format....which are streamed using WMP12's media sharing ability. For formats that don't work....there are such things called RipBot264 to convert files into a h264 MP4 container with AAC-LC 5.1 audio in just a few hours. I seriously have never had any issue with the default media sharing built into Windows 7, i can honestly say it is the best thing since sliced bread.

  11. Its just a game on Genre Wars — the Downside of the RPG Takeover · · Score: 1

Heres the thing many people fail to realize, and yet it is the most simple concept to grasp. That the games are intended to be fun, and they are, Fallout 3 is among the best, MW2 kicks ass, i play that every day, but im not picky in FPS games, i can kill anyone with any gun, im a gamer, a true gamer. If earning your ranks and the priv to use certain firearms in a game is a hindrance to you then i suggest simply go back to packman and leave real gamers play our games. These so called "RPG" elements let us play the game in a different style every time, I think the clone wars in multiplayer games is long over. Let the dev's figure out what way to take it, i am confident in the routes they will take, they know what they are doing or else they wouldn't still be in the business. The consumer is not always right (in this case, the basement troll is not always night, and never is for that fact)

  12. Dead space wasnt bad. on Former Exec Says Electronic Arts "Is In the Wrong Business" · · Score: 1

I'm not sure why the mention dead space as bad, as i recall it being somewhat of a success, it had scores right around 7.6-8.0/10 so that's a critical success IMO. If i where EA i would sit down the dev team and have a nice discussion over fixing the flaws the game did have and not removing the good stuff it already does have and going from there. If EA would just put a little more heart into it, they could have blockbuster titles like Fallout and Half-Life 2 (we know why those games are good, and that's because Valve and Bethesda actually give a damn about releasing a great game). Crytek should go back to Ubisoft i think, EA doesn't deserve a hit title like Crysis 2.

Well really 28 light years isn't really that far. With our current technology yeah we can forget ever getting there. This is why is important for research to be put back into Project Orion, that would give us the ability to at the very least send machines into deep space, we have the stockpiles of nuclear weapons to do this with. The technology has been tested with regular explosives back in the 50's and works. But treaties where signed to ban the detonation of nuclear weapons in the atmosphere and space. So we will have to wait until antimatter propulsion methods have been developed. Until then they should work on making massive telescopes that can take HD pictures of the planets surface 28 light years away.
