Since you only have to store then energy for a minute, why not use a gearing system to store energy into a flywheel and then release it to supplement what you are still generating for the 3 minutes. you would also have to use variable pitch propellers or possibly a gearing system that allows you to charge it without moving the blades.
"Is there some FDA rule that says that a drug designed to improve attention span MUST be only used by people with attention span difficulty?"
Nope, get a doctor to prescribe it to you and you can legally take it. A whole lot of drugs are prescribed for things that they are not approved for. The approval only determines what the drug can be marketed for. (Pfizer just got sued over this, I think it was neurontin, but they have so man drugs, it is hard to remember)
You'd probably feel sick if you knew how much they pay. The doctor's/hospitals actually have to go through a broker who really doesn't give a shit about what sort of pay the provider gets, so the 100$ visit that the poor person has to pay costs BCBS $45.
I think you may be able to get around this with JACK, but I'm not sure as I don't have the hardware to test it. But, JACK seems to kick arse at rewiring audio between just about everything
eh, it is more like "balanced" analog (the XLRs on the LT are basically the same thing). That being said, I have an LT and absolutely love it, I haven't a nice enough room where it really makes a difference (most places, even semi pro and some pro don't either, balancing only really comes into play on long runs.)
If I do go hardcore and want to expand, I'll get a good mixer with balanced inputs and maybe a second 1010lt, if I were ever to outgrow that I really ought to open up a studio
IF you have either, rock on and enjoy them though (-: much better than SB or related crap
considering how engineers are treated here (USA) and how few unions we have, they would be right

your right to use it stops as soon as it impedes my right to legitimate use in the same way that my right to copy stops when it infringes on your copyright.
Both of us have our rights, and as long as we are fighting against each other, both parties will be pissed off.
I think apple just avoids the midrange in the G5 line. I'm not sure you realize how expensive a sound card costs if you expect it to actually do work. The delta 1010 is about the bottom for any sort of serious audio work, and at 800$ or so, I am glad that they left it out. They need to put on sound of some sort and they are using optical for most of the home users, so the analog is just there because it ought to be, not because they expect people to really use it for anything. Home users should get the apple speakers, pros will get the card of their choice and everyone is happy and able to make their own choices.
That was true a while ago, but now everyone uses Solar Radials (Michilan makes them I think, Goodyear has some too iirc)
They look kind of like bike tired, but are fatter and treaded differently and are basically slicks
isn't it Janis not Jamis?
hmm, yeah
right after I posted the idea seemed _way_ too simple and I realized it must be illegal.

bah, but it isn't GPL and it just seems _weird_ to pirate cracking tools.
I stick to 80 also, but I usually use Xemacs to open two files above and below each other. I personally find this easier, but more power to you.
The reason I use for sticking to 80 is that is it just so much easier to scan through
not sure about there, but here one is much better off to get a community college AA or AS than trade school.
awe, you don't need math to program. I mean, who really cares what O() functions run in? They'll just make computers faster
four years of calc or calc four? (otherwise known as dif/eq usually, sometimes lin alg is taught as 4)
Everyone already knows where to get a mac with linux.... from yellow dog.
nah, at least here (University of Michigan) it is about 90% of EE with some computer specific electronics thrown in.
why couldn't I just use jack to route itunes to audacity?
Wait wait, is it static or dynamic convergance?
I'm not sure that they are still up to that spec, but considering all of the calculators that I've seen make it through high schooler's abuse:
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you

maybe then they will stop watering the damn lawns
That would be the crappiest job though, you'd be flown everywhere at a moments notice and then have to take the slow way back.

didn't you see the slashdot article? payola is legal; all one needs to do is say "this song brought to you by the ____ corperation".
I wish I could have your faith in the intelligence and morality of our laws.
