    Why not go with an online storage solution such as Amazon S3 and let them be your backup and not worry about doing it yourself. I know that you can ship them a hard drive so you don't need to spend time uploading data.

    Yep. Currently as a grad student I am managing a 128 proc cluster with 20 nodes which is shared between several groups. I knew a little bit of linux when I started and nothing about cluster and really have had very few problems with the cluster. Rocks makes it really simple

    But the record industry only made 13.7 billion in 2001. If we use that figure limewire would have to have been going almost 110 years if it took away all of the record industries sales to even get close to 1.5 trillion, if we did actual damages.

    I heard about this when it was first announced and cannot believe it still exists/people are still playing this "game"

    Anyway this is probably more of a PR smoke then an actual discovery. Drug companies burn through lots of computer time to find potential drug targets most of which do not work. I would expect that a protein (much larger and more complicated then developed drugs) would make the likelihood of its synthesis and folding into the desired structure even less likely to work.

    I can state this fact firmly because many times the greatest discoveries are made from mistakes that occur and the scientist notices that some strange has happened. I do not think that AI will every be able to emulate that because it is often not remembering or even remembering things incorrectly that led down interesting new pathways.

    I plan on getting on and trying it out. For $30, whenever it gets back in stock, it should be well worth it. I could see myself using if for to do lists or anything else I would normally use a scrap of paper for. Probably less likely to lose this too. Heck it might even look good hanging above my bar for a list of whats on tap.

    Best Buy has recycling programs for E-waste. For most items Best Buy's service is free or minimal cost ($10) and you get a $10 Best Buy gift card. I would assume recycling the printer would be free.

    While i'm aware that a HIG should cover more than just the look and feel, it feels like google bends the rules when it comes to interface guidelines.

    While the GUI for Chrome is different from many other browsers it is very similar to what Microsoft has done with the new office interface and is just a new direction in which GUIs are going.
