    Use Red Kawa PS3 Video 9 to remux anything that's not exactly 1280*720 - no reencoding of video

    Use TVersity UPnP server to stream and reencode anything that's not h264 (i.e xvid) to a PS3 compatible mpeg2-stream

    My PS3 is fast on it's way to being able to replace my Xbox+XBMC combos.

    Maybe in the US, then. In Sweden the PS3 is the Blu-ray player of choice for HDTV owners (esp. us with FullHD sets).

    Yes. The location for this experiment is going to be close to the LHC - which will finish in this timescale and provide the participants with the needed cosmic rays.

    You've got it backwards. HD-DVD players are fully backward compatible with DVD. HD-DVD is an extension of the DVD format. Blu-Ray is the new format that's not compatible with standard DVDs.

    Cell phones are nowhere near as reliable as land lines ... in the US. Here in Sweden it's vice versa, on the other hand. Cell towers are run on diesel backups when there's been a storm and the landline is cut and we have cell coverage over everything but the extreme desolated mountain areas and out at sea (!) - where there are no landlines either.

    I was eagerly awaiting Tiger Woods 2007 for my Wii. My first thought when I started it was "oh shit that's ugly". Yes I love the controls (even though they're actually not that good!) - but the graphics are putting me off.

    Yes, I have a huge screen. Yes, I have an Xbox 360 already (PS3 this Friday, being european). I still believe not including HDTV in the Wii will hurt it later on.

    Caffeine is highly addictive, and many regular coce and coffee drinkers are indeed dependant. Take away their drug and they'll experience headaches and become very irritable.

    Cannabis, on the other hand, is one of the least addictive "drugs" we know.
