  1. We need revolution and we need it now on Student Arrested for Making Videogame Map of School · · Score: 5, Interesting

I did this with my high school. I showed it to my teacher in CAD class. He loved it. We converted it to a Doom II map. we played it. No one died, no one cared. in fact, I was given an award from my school for my "excellent achievements", partly due to that.

I also remember a group called the POCD made a DoomII mapset with school layouts. The maps turned out to be a hit in deathmatch, especially on "Last man standing" mode that was added in a recent Doom port, Skulltag.

Now you can be arrested for...... this? What I got.. this plaque for?

  5. Success a bad thing? on Mixed News for Nintendo, Microsoft · · Score: 2, Interesting

The Wii success article is 100% whining.

Translation: "The old third party "same port across the board" style of developing doesn't work in this generation, we'd have to change the way we do things, but we don't want to or want to know how, so we will just whine about it instead."

Games are supposed to be about fun, not profit. If the game is fun, it will sell. if the Wii's first party games hurt Third-party devs' profits, it's not the Wii's fault!

Could it be that third-party devs would have to... god forbid, work a little at making a game for the wii? This reminds me of the same Bullshit that went on with the N64: Lack of third-party support. But that was for a different reason.

There really IS no reason now.

This exposes something about a few third-party publishers, and it isn't pretty at all.

It is now official. Netcraft confirms: RNC is dying

One more crippling bombshell hit the already beleaguered Repubican party when analysists confirmed that the president's approval rating has dropped yet again, now down to less than a fraction of 1 percent of all serious gun-totin' republicans. Coming on the heels of a recent find which found RNC running Ohio Election servers, this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. The GOP is collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last in the recent Alberto Gonzales testimony.

You don't need to be Barrack Obama to predict the GOP's future. The hand writing is on the bill: RNC faces a bleak future. In fact there won't be any future at all for The GOP because the GOP is dying. Things are looking very bad for the good old red. As many of us are already aware, The GOP continues to lose congress seats. Red states flow like a river of blood.

All major surveys show that The Bush Administration has steadily declined in approval. The RNC is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If the RNC is to survive at all it will be among Hunting clubs and the Ku Klux Klan. The Republican party continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time. For all practical purposes, The elephant is dead. Fact: Microsoft is dying
