This sort of thing happens all the time for me at work. "Oh, you used to be a mechanic? My car is doing this thing...what do you think it is?"
Diagnostics aint free, bitches! Just kidding:-)
But seriously though, it's safe to say that most people here on Slashdot have experienced their family asking for help with a problem related to the poster's interests/profession at least once.
I'd say it depends on the situation and that person's knowledge of law. For example, if I was sued by someone, I would absolutely get a lawyer. If I was sued by someone back when I was working as a mechanic that related to my being a mechanic, I would likely have represented myself...I made sure to familiarize myself with the law surrounding that particular job because of the very nature of it. Luckily, I never had to use that knowledge...but it was good having it at the time.
I should also note that a six-figure education doesn't help lawyer costs, either...the price payed for a lawyer's education is just as ludicrous as the price they charge their clients.
...people expect lawyers (and everyone else) to work for free.
Not quite. Continue on for my explanation...
Although most people have only two choices: Allow for the "thick percentage" or have no representation at all.
That's why people are pissed. They know that your options are extremely limited, and they take advantage of that fact by charging pretty much whatever they want.
Eh, it's ok...I just feel like the "Fantasy" has been ripped from the series. I find there is far too much focus on technology. I realize the older games had a focus on technology as well, but it just felt different.
It's a shame, because the imagery and character designs since Final Fantasy went 3D have been stunning...but the games don't really go past eye candy for me. Everything just seems to be style over substance when it comes to Final Fantasy.
It feels like they just plain gave up and didn't want to take the time to polish it. The now-infamous Gametrailers review is pretty much spot on.
If this and pretty much every Final Fantasy game since VII have proven anything, it's that this series needs to just go away. It's far too late for a graceful death, but put it out of its misery.
All you have to do is look at who supports each respective technology more (i.e. Republicans or Democrats), and you'll have your answer as to why they each have the public perception that they do.
What's crappy about it? As a game matching service, it seems to work well enough...not to mention the ton of stuff you have access to with a free account.
Indeed...for example, the Dell Mini 9 has been notoriously easy to make into a Hackintosh for quite a while. Hell, even Gizmodo posted a walkthrough in early 2009.
As someone who generally doesn't like what Apple puts out, I'd have to disagree with you. There are a couple of bad design decisions regarding the iPhone 4, but it's the best iPhone they've released yet.
YMMV with that, but from the time I've spent with some neighbor's iPhones over the past few months, the iPhone 4 seems to be pretty good compared to the rest of the product line.
This entire thing could have been avoided by not having glass on the back side of the device. Other than looking pretty, what purpose does having a glass back serve?
I'd also like to point out that not all third-party brands are bad...Seidio is a good example of a third-party company that generally releases high quality products.
Uh...actually, if anything, the bible proves free will doesn't exist either. god's supposed omnipotence makes free will an impossibility.
If someone already knows what you are going to do, how is it a choice?
Not to mention how many pages have been changed.
The fact that there are different "versions" of the Bible amuse me to no end. If it was truly god's word, wouldn't there be just one version?
I'm not referring to words or phrases lost in translation...I'm talking about things like King James versions, etc.

"I got your legal system right here ::lifts toy shotgun::" -My grandfather while watching My Cousin Vinny.
I'm not kidding.

Sorry, should have specifically pointed out numbered entries in the series. I agree with you about Crisis Core, Dissidia, and Tactics :-)
The student's school took photos using the webcam on their laptop.
Do you really need an answer to your question?

Are you sure Centauri isn't planning on dropping a bunch of arcade machines?
It's one of those design decisions that make you go "what were they thinking?!?!?!"
You forgot the "obligatory" title ;-)

Wonder how much bloatware MS is going to get crammed in their OS
I'd imagine there will be a general baseline, but the carrier will likely have a huge affect on this (as they already do)

While I agree with your point, separating them into Mac and PC labels makes it easy for conversation regarding the two. It's a convenience thing.
That's one reason why I rarely submit anything -_-;;

Depending on the government and the corporation, I'd say that's definitely already true.
