Etymologically, yes...but it's used (or at least is supposed to be used) to describe small applications downloadable to phones. I noticed it really take hold with Apple's App Store, although its been around longer than that.
There's no written rule saying it can't be used to describe all software, but it pisses me off in the same way it pisses me off when someone says "put it on the floor" when they're standing in the middle of a forest, or call a truck a "car".
You know, not every bit of software is an app...I'm getting really tired of that term becoming so ubiquitous. You would think someone in such a position within a tech-centered company would know this (actually, on second thought...)
I think it's disgusting to do that to any American President.
It has nothing to do with the "sanctity" of the office, but the fact that no American President comes even close to the atrocities that Hitler inflicted on other people. It's a bad analogy, one which indicates a ignorance at best and an outright denial of facts at worst.
No, my point is that claiming Obama is going to be the straw that breaks the camel's back, especially when you consider what previous leaders have done, is ludicrous.
Does it bother anyone else that Apple products are so quickly hacked? I don't mean from a security standpoint, I mean because people feel the need to hack them so they can do what they want.
Doesn't that mean they should just buy something that isn't so limited in the first place? Or is this one of those "we buy a locked device because we want to hack it" sort of things...
I would have to say no, because Gore isn't on the payroll of any news organizations...he is, for all intents and purposes, "self" employed. He can say whatever fool thing he damn well pleases.
The point is that, agree with him or not, a lot of people listen to Beck and do/agree with most of what he says.
Convincing people to buy gold because the economy could collapse while simultaneously being a paid spokesman for a company that buys gold and melts it is a bit asshatish...don't you think?
Given how wonky IT and communication upgrades can be, it makes sense to keep these systems the same for as long as possible. I imagine that after the Shuttle is fully and completely retired, NASA will begin to take a serious look at their aging hardware.
It's them just trying to get Republican votes...just like Democrat politicians are all about equality except for themselves, who require bigger and better things, Republican politicians advocate smaller government...except when it comes to invading your personal life.
Meh, it happens...just like a power company, no one says a word when the thing works fine for weeks or months at a time...but when it goes down for a couple hours, people act like it never works.
Exactly. I generally use between 300-350 megs per month. The highest I've ever gone was 450 megs. This means, just like described, I'd be forced to go with the 2 gig plan, even though I never come anywhere even close to that much data usage on my phone.

It's wrong. It's WROOOONGGGG. /Cartman

You didn't pay attention in school, did you.
True...the motivation and scale was different, but the ultimate result was fairly close in message.

Don't need to Fox news, just a brain and one rational thought to know king barry is the death panel for America!!!
Right. Because no president before Obama has ever made bad decisions on a large scale. ::eye roll::

The only winning move is not to play. Now get me a WOPR with cheese!

As seen in a printed newspaper:
"Study finds printed newspapers are huge paper wasters!"
I bet Glenn Beck is pissed about this.
Wordpress is quite flexible, and super easy to install onto your own hosting server.
Note that the inventor of the Segway is Dean Kamen. This article is about Jim Heselden, the guy that bought the Segway company.
...what a way to go out. Fitting, but jeebus...

I was basically saying they are different but the same...go back and read it again, you'll see :-)
That being said, I completely agree with you.

We're different in many ways, but we're the same when it comes to important stuff :-)
Addressed that.
