    FBS and SVR split the duties of the old KGB, so its a fragment of KGB, but it's very inaccurate of a /. headline to label it KGB, KGB was disolved nearly 20 years ago (3 December 1991).

    When continents collided, sea levels dropped because of ice ages, "alien" animals invaded other places and killed off native species through out geological history.

    Then go to a Christian forum and question christianity because you are a Jew or Muslim.

    9 times out of 10 you'll get hammered on anthropogenic global warming harder than you will on a Christian forum. As a Jew, the worst I've heard from Bible thumping evangelicals was "I'll pray for you."

    Rail in the US carries a lot of freight, 40% of the ton/miles of freight in the US is carried by trains.

    I wish I could find the letter from Warren Buffet about his purchase of BNSF, basically that rail freight is a growing and profitable sector.

    Yes, jet engines are pretty capable of burning a wide variety of fuels, the airlines and militaries like the US DoD have been certifying aircraft to run on biofuels, mixes of biofuels and regular fuels.

    Plus the USAF has been wanting to build synth fuel plants for some time, only to have it blocked by Congress.

    Long story short, it wasn't a toilet seat, but was mislabeled on the DoD document as one, they only bought 20 and there was a ton of special manufacturing involved.

    A senate staffer picked up on "600 dollars" and "toilet seat" and used that to hammer at the Reagan administration.

    "A Pentagon spokesman, Glenn Flood stated, "The original price we were charged was $640, not just for a toilet seat, but for the large molded plastic assembly covering the entire seat, tank and full toilet assembly. The seat itself cost $9 and some cents. The supplier charged too much, and we had the amount corrected."'

    Yea, I knew about Washington's EDL, wife had to choose between that and a Passport Card when we drove from Washington to Alaska, dealing with the State Department was cheaper and faster than Washington.

    No, Republicans don't want a universal ID in the US, if you look at Real ID adoption by states, Republican states generally oppose along with Democrat majority states.

    Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington have joined Maine and Utah in passing legislation opposing Real ID.

    Thats a good mix of Red and Blue states

    Alaska, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

    Again, good mix of states.

    I never argued that it wasn't the Republicans, I am however arguing the points that all Republicans are Teabaggers, the Teabaggers did this and there are no moderate Republicans left.

    The fact remains that the Tea Baggers only account for 17 members of the House, 20 was my mistake, with only 12-13 of them caucusing with the Tea Party and 10 members of the Senate. Thats 27 out of 535 members.

    The House and Senate Republicans are not controlled by the Tea Party Movement.

    And he is a moderate Republican, as am I.

    The Tea Baggers only make up 20 members of the House, so this resolution was supported even by moderate Republicans too.

    Do it all the time, connect drops, you count to 60, log back in after the reboot, it's not rocket science.

    SpaceX only uses 9 of the same engines per booster, the N1 had 30 in the first stage, 8 in the second stage, 4 of a different type in the third stage, 1 of another type in the fourth stage and 1 of yet another type in the fifth stage.

    So SpaceX has 27 Merlin IC total in the first stage and a Merlin IC Vacuum in the second stage.
    N1 had 38 NK-15s, 4 NK-21s, 1 NK-19 and 1 RD-58 total.

    Every N1 launch test failed, while SpaceX is 2/5 with Falcon 1 and 2/2 with Falcon 9

    Apparently you didn't read the article.

    The rocket will be ready by late 2012 from Vandenberg (which is California), Canaveral (which is Florida) launches by late 2013.

    The leases are being sold, that money is going to the Afghani government, which it should because it's their country.

    But little development is taking place, so in the current time frame the only one making a profit is Afghanistan, and whom ever in the government pockets the money.

    But none of those resources are being developed, and with regional instability they way it is, they might not ever develop it.

    If the US was really interested in mineral wealth, the Federal government would push for development of Pebble Mine here in Alaska (at least 500 billion to 750 billion in Copper and Gold), but it's not being developed and it might be decades before it is.

    Much closer, much safer to develop and cheaper to operate.

    My taxes have not gone up during the war, so it's not costing me anything extra.

    Even with the deficit, the way the American Congress operates, without the war expenditures they would have found something else to sink money into that'd cause the deficit.

    Because the Saudis might have nukes (50 CSS-2 intermediate-range ballistic missiles which had nuclear capability when the Chinese sold them) and it's the farking historical birthplace of Islam.

    "Pissing off the Saudis" by attacking Saudi Arabia would you know, actually cause a full blown holy war against the West.
