Geocities had a lot of content. A huge amount of useful information. Especially the pre-Yahoo stuff. Many times over the last decade I've ended up on a Geocities website when researching particular subjects (sorry - can't give any examples, but more than a couple dozen times when looking at some obscure stuff).

Geocities was a lot like an attic, full of crap but when you need something often you find it there.

Why the blanket assumption that Hawkins is an Atheist?

Because he is one of the most intelligent people of our time.

Most Scientists talk about GOD purely in a poetic sense. Einstein, for example once said "God does not play with dice" meaning that the universe must be ordered (as explained by the general theory of relativity) however it irritated him when people said that he did believe in god as he did not.

"God not only plays dice. He sometimes throws the dice where they cannot be seen." -Stephen Hawking
I believe that like Einstein, Hawking talks about god poetically not because of any belief in the existence of a god.

My ISP offers a movie service, BUT you have to install a proprietary player to play the movie on.

I'm a customer, I want the option of having the product as a .avi but the service is not giving me the service I want and am willing to pay for.

So I use The Pirate Bay, money has nothing to do with my decision Movies cost nothing anyway even on DVDs it's all about the service. The Pirate Bay simply provides a better service than the studios can so they get all my downloads.

Considering how big the market for movies is that must be a fair bit of money they are missing out on, all because they want people to use a certain piece of software.
