I don't have any problem with the existence of media like this, but I do have a problem with the labeling. It isn't news and I think it is so far away from news that the title is misleading.
If they want to have a format like that more power to them, but they should be disallowed from calling it "news." One label I like is "news entertainment" (basically because they are analog to news as the WWF.. oops I mean WWE is to sports).
Fox, being on the far right, is dealing with some weak minded people who can't tell the difference (sorry.. it's true as much as you might not like that). On the left side it's less successful because they are thinking it through more. But if they are doing this neither "side" should call it news.
Also.. once again we're totally neglecting the fact that pro-corporate bias is rampant in every newsroom on the planet.. but that's another discussion.
>A Nestle spokesman added that 'inside their wrappers, the GPS-enabled bars looked just like normal chocolate bars.'"
Personally, I make a distinction between the chocolate bar and the wrapping, so this seemed to imply to me that the GPS tracker might be INSIDE the actual chocolate bar and not the wrapper. Putting the tracker IN the actual chocolate... now that would be a bit intrusive.
Remember in the Jetsons where George says "These 3 day workweeks are killing me!"
That is what the view of what this type of tech was supposed to get us... the same living standard with less work. Instead the idea was turned on its ear and a lot of the benefits were kept at the very top.
I'm all for this type of stuff, but I think society has to figure out ways for this to benefit everyone. In a capitalist society is okay for the people who own the capital to benefit the most, but I don't think that's an excuse to let the rest of the society head towards poverty. When we see that in other countries we tend to call that repression.
Well.. up comes the problem of coupling university education and job training.
And add the fact that to the people that are driving all the change in the U.S. right now the only valid job is CEO / other management. Plumbers, good HVAC techs, and electricians are just as valid and needed of a job as CEO. But again... our values are really, really screwed up right now.
We do have right winger implying that they should take up arms if Obama wins the election.
The right in the U.S. is getting very close the right in the east. Albeit we're not there yet, but we've got loonies that are capable of it and they've got a decent number of followers.
An eye opening moment on this subject was when CNN was doing some story and was talking to a single mother of two or three who wasn't well educated and living around Atlanta. This was two or three years after 911 and her life's biggest fear was terrorism. She lived in the outskirts of Atlanta and didn't work near any real target but thought the suicide bomber was coming at any minute.
I have some MREs in my car and a few in my basement that get replaced periodically for emergencies.
I guess I am both a moron and a terrorist then. I can tell you I know nothing about food storage. I am not also stocking up for a siege. I live in an area with snow and I might get caught without food on accident.
If it works .1% of the time then you just have to as 1000 girls.

...as a matter of fact, Fox changes it from "War with Finland" to "War with Sweden" right within the same newscast.
In the US I think we'd have class action lawyers going after them immediately for lack of security due diligence. They would deserve it, too.
What's the EU equivalent action?
they're running Avast free version like everyone else.
malware from whom's perspective. Adobe absolutely things keygens are malware.
He's a CEO, so he must be competent and his opinion must be important!
Timothy should go do tech stories for CNN. Their clue level matches.
*idiocy*
What floor of the Captiol City Records building did this come form? Come on.. fess up!
Basic sanity wins once in a while. Maybe one of every 50 cases.
If the connotation of the words used have changed (as with the word "terrorist" on 9/11/01) then, yes, maybe the label should be adjusted.
As skeptical as I am of doing this it lets be fair. It doesn't sound like a frequent occurrence.
Is it me or is a "terrorist threat" charge starting to become the "etc" category to charge people for statements that someone is uncomfortable with.
If he is making a threat that is a chargeable offense and the "terrorism" adjective is useless anyway.

There are massive numbers of "overrated" mods on opinions these days that are obviously not trolls or flamebait.
WTF.. are you in the U.S.? If so how do you know when you're eating a GM product and when you're not? It's against the law to even tell you that.
There has never been an "expert" linked to Monsanto that has stated any negative opinion of a Monsanto product *ever.*
It's pretty much in their contract.

That's a race condition if I ever saw one...
GOOD FUCKING LUCK
This point is true and that's the reason they give, but it's more bogus H.R. reasoning and it turns out to be an excuse.
Anyone will move on if they are given a better opportunity, not just the overqualified.
Oddly, you left out the magic underwear.
