Dell came in Sure they costed a bit more but they were better made systems. Then they did the same thing around the early/mid 2000's. However Apple and Think Pads (By IBM then by Lenovo) really started to take the High End/Quality Laptop markets Apple for consumers and the Think Pads for Business.

This Amiga price is due to the fact that they are selling the OS and the computer and they are not popular enough to mass produce them.

The middle ground solution is this (being that it is a middle ground solution both sides will not really like it) Science is a process, a key element of this process is the idea that the simplest explanation is best explanation. Having a supernatural force is a more complicated answer, especially when you see evidence proves the simpler evidence. It doesn't mean that the complicated answer is invalid however in science it cannot be used as a variable to explain things.

Saying God did it is a complex answer, that means we will need to ask why did he do it, why did he put evidence that shows a simpler answer, if the Devil did it, why doesn't God some him... Religion isn't science. Science may not be actual truth. Religion may be wrong too. However when you are dealing with the world science gives us a better explanation on what goes on that is more consistent. However we could just as easially be a Brain in a box being fed stimuli that simulates real life while what is really real is compleatly different... Should we put in jail the average Banker (middle class/lower middle class) who just follows company policy, and greets you with a smile?
For the most part this is what happened.
Sub Prime Mortgages were mortgages where the risk to lending to an individual was spread across many companies. Because each mortgage holder was less of a risk that means banks could lend safely to riskier people. While the economy was good, this was really good too. More people could access cheap money and buy homes, what is so wrong giving under privilege people homes of their own. With more people buying you had an increase in Demand and supply Couldn't keep up, so pricing went up (economics 101), and we were in a housing bubble. Then in 2008 Home prices were too high then the market could bare and prices dropped fast. Dropped Prices caused people who were using their homes for collateral were loosing its value thus they have loans that they could no longer back up. And a large number of such of the Higher Risk Home owners defaulted. Because of the number all the small risks to the banks added up to a large problem (Toxic Assets) where too much of their Assets were tied up in High Risk loans. As more people went bust the lower the average housing went further... To a point were too many people were defaulting and causing them to stop spending.

All the bankers wanted to do was increase their customer base and reduce their risk. However it caused a chain of events that was mostly unexpected. (We knew the housing market would pop and put us into a recession or just a normal economic correction.) But a lot of worse case went together and caused a full melt down.

There was really one activity that wasn't really illegal however gross neglect to do their jobs correctly Where the rating industries had gave these Riskier Mortgages an high rating, where they were actually much riskier then they were rated for giving bankers a good feeling to use such instruments.

The problem is Outrage. Outrage is getting mad at things that have already happened, it isn't productive method of try to make sure it doesn't happen.
For most events if you are Outraged it means you don't know enough about what happened or you just more interested in revenge then actually solving the problem.
I have seen a lot of people back in 2008 who were actually quite happy when the market crashed (and hid their joy in outrage against those evil people who did it) but they were happy because their blind complaining about everything actually got something that came true.
