The proof is in their incessant whining. The big time drug dealers already knew all the legal ways they could be tracked. If they learned of any new ways then those new ways were illegal. You can lick the boots of the police state all you want, but the rest of us are going to fight it in every way we can.

The military gets something which is claimed to be health-care, I do not think it really qualifies. If your problem is not blatantly obvious and cannot be blamed on a lesser temporary problem you do not get health-care, you get Motrin, a cover story in your medical record, and get sent back to work with the implied threat that if you challenge the doctor's diagnosis you will hate your life for the entirety of your military career. In the military you can actually be sent to prison for going to a doctor for a second opinion, under the premise of disobeying a lawful order.

I fully agree with you here!

It follows well with my view of the "there are no girls on the internet" rule. There are no girls on the internet because on the internet there is no gender unless you explicitly assert it. When you assert your gender in a genderless environment it is done for some kind of advantage over others. There are exceptions to this, like dating sites, or where gender is relevant to story ect, but usually there is no need whatsoever to be concerned with the gender of another on the internet.

When it comes to race in the real world the same should apply. It is however, a lot easier to describe a small black man in a crowded room full of white people by mentioning that his skin is in fact not white.

I agree fully with your post. In fact there are many areas of science where the theory has become a religion and anything that contradicts the theory is derided as being "not scientific" or immediately "discredited" without any test of the data or new theory.
Even worse there is the medical field where the outcome of many studies is based solely on who is paying for it. Most of them being conducted in secret and the results only ever being published if the study supports the interests of the funders.

The current state of science is a disgrace!

How about this as a disincentive?

    * allow no more than 50% of the workers in any department to be H1-b's
    * make the minimum wage of those H1-b's be the average of all workers in that department.

This way the H1-b's cannot skew the average pay within a company, and since they are "so much more qualified" they are required to be paid as such. This would also keep them from being used as expendable labor which can be abused without consequence, making the work environment better for them and everyone else.

I bet there would be less than ten applications a year for the entire country.

A car stereo should be a car stereo and nothing more. It should have absolutely no communication to the rest of the car. Passive receive only connections would be fine in order to display some statistics about the car, but allowing the stereo to transmit data to the control bus is pure idiocy.

The idea of having wireless connections is not really a bad one, as long as it is implemented correctly.
You can't have the communication directly between the cellular chip and the control bus, there must be an intermediary which is only capable of passing the implemented commands, confirmations, and nothing else. It should have no networking ability whatsoever.
