recently updated to Ubuntu 8.10, and discovered that the sleek, fuel-efficient KDE programs I love were ripped out and replaced with hummers. Honestly, Kolourpaint takes up 50% of my cpu drawing a line.
I read a couple of chapters online, and it seemed pretty cool. I'm interested in learning FP techniques, and it was really nice to be able to learn [...]
Having so many debts stacking up on my bank account, I kinda started looking at it as math... it's just numbers... You get used to being broke...
Make a killer app, GPL it, let them come.
Be an hero!
The rule of thumb would be: don't use javascript unless you really need it.
One important thing to keep in mind is to keep your app as resourceful as possible, as the API really pays off later. Don't add a method that can only be called from javascript, provide necessary fallbacks.
Ruby / Rails is really good for this kind of setup. And personally I've always liked prototypejs.
Test all three distros out of the box, to see which one is better... Even with all that extra 'default' weight Ubuntu still shines on except when running, eh, Java.
What about games that save every five steps, including after you die? Should the designers of roguelike games (or their real-time elaborations such as Diablo II) be sacked?
Yes, indeed. Iron Man. Real Men play hardcore.
It is pitch black, you will most likely be eaten by a Grue.
I think the difficulty changes noticeably after 5 or 6 missions, but it feels like cheating. The combat mechanics *is* decent enough that they could have made it more challenging.
But with all its flaws, it's still an outstanding game on its own.

Ack! You gained gnomexperience!

Do not try to bend the syntax; that's impossible.
Instead only try to realize the truth:
Fr0st P1ss!
Drugs don't kill people. Ninjas kill people.

Do people who are functionally disabled by alcoholism deserve two drinks for the price of one?
Only if you are obese.
"I wanted to see women get scared and shake their legs."
YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!
Better stop seeding those warez, mate!
Firefox on Mac doesn't reliably render http://surfline.com/ [surfline.com]
I think it's rather surprising that it renders at all. Can't fix the world, son.
Or better yet, websites could just, you know, follow the standards and like, just work.
Ha! So you were the one downloading 10 million times!
In Soviet Russia, Lunascape download YOU!!
The company says that the Japanese version of Lunascape has been downloaded 10 million times and touts it as the fastest browser available.
Holy smokes! 10 million downloads? Darn, maybe we should abandon Firefox... Lunascape runs gecko even faster than it!
Now if only I used that Windows thingie...
.. but what it's missing is the ability to easily uninstall it. It's not the only distro not to be easily uninstallable
sudo rm -rf /

Very informative!
Duh, I read the summary as Lego novo service disables laptops with a text message
Well, back to the brute-force approach, minions. Go for the outlet! Go!
In Brazil it's actually pretty difficult for establishments to accept checks. Worse even if it's a company check.
Seriously, how often would you write off a check as a company? A thousand checks a month??
Smells kinda fishy...
Well, I must be color blind too because I tried to play that game, Doom 3, and I couldn't see anything.

I finished it on PC. I did play it once on X360 and the combat seems a lot easier.
But this behaviour is what I meant, the Templars sort of cheat.
My advice when you find yourself in this situation: Run. Run like hell.
Ninja Gaiden is an illustration of how this can go wrong. For me, it was very, very hard.

In a good game, the player may try again, repeatedly. In a good story, he must never die.
Then *you* must never die, insensitive clod!
That is also the reason that most Atari 2600 games never interesting me.
Ha! Another poor soul that couldn't beat Pitfall!
Pfff.
And don't forget the Black Edition, ninja dog!
