Several years ago I had a friend in Austrialia who wanted to see a new TV series that I was talking about, but wasn't being shown over there. So I setup a TV Tuner card, and used Net Meeting with it's video and audio source set to the tuner to stream the show over to him
Exactly, that's how competition works. You can't blame Microsoft for trying to improve it's product because someone else tried to make something better. That's how we get better products. By your logic, Microsoft could NEVER improve it's search tool, ever, because someone else had made a better one. By my understanding, Microsoft has actually released this search tool with more features then Google has. My guess is that Google will follow suit, and improve thier search tool also. Competition is a good thing.
Windows has had file searching support since the very first versions. It's not like google is the first company to think "hey, it would be nice let people find files". Microsoft is just expanding the functionality of thier existing search application to included a toolbar and new technology because they have some new competition. Isn't that how competition works? You get new features because 2 compeeting products are battling for market share.
You don't think people that report to him have looked at it? He's an executive, it's not his job to personally look at every piece of software that wants to challenge IE.
most laptop hard drives are the same size as my dell x30, and they weigh more too. Also, they would suck the battery dry in a matter of 5 minutes. PDAs need to be mostly solid state because they are constantly moving, chaning angles, and in danger of falling the the ground. A laptop drive just isn't practical. Next month SanDisk is releasing 2GB SD cards, so storage shouldn't be a problem.
The Dell display on the X30 is awesome. I own a zaurus SL-5600 too, and the X30 is miles ahead of the 5600. The 5600 screen seems to have an odd "shimmer" to it if you don't keep your head perfectly still.
Polly would run around the streets but no one else is to be seen.
The streets where giant robots are running amok? The streets where we heard the "the city is being evacuated" announcement moments before? Those streets?
If there was an evacuation order moments before then shouldn't the streets be filled with people evacuating?
I'm betting they could stop you from taking a walky-talky into class durring finals. They use the unregulated part of the spectrium too, jsut like the APs.
I've been playing "cd based" games for many years now, including computer games. I think I have dammaged one CD by rolling over it with an office chair, and one from water dammage. Both were replaced by the company for the cost of shipping when I sent in the dammaged CD.
I see... So the fact that they "Minght" have been denied permissions means that they should totally skip over the step of asking. Yes, that makes total sence.
Except your new one is wrong too. they didn't just look in from a public network. They actually entered a restricted area of the network and poked around.
And therefore.... what? I bet you had some really good arguments about the safety of airlines before 9/11/2001...
And I still do. Even considering 9/11 they are still one of the safest ways means of travel. Contrary to what republicans believe, the world did not suddenly change on that day. It's the same as it always was, minus one building. My point was that nuclear power plants can not be called "magnets" for terrorism since they don't actually attract terrorists.
Ohh yes. They are such a magnet for terrorists that how many exactly have been attacked? I have refrigerator magnets stronger then that. Has there ever, in nuclear energy history been any kind of direct attack on a nuclear power plant, or any attempted or successful sabotage? None spring immediatly to mind for me.
I was moving an old IDE drive from one system to another because the motherboard it was in had died. Well, pulling the IDE cable off took a few of the Pins with it. Did I mention this hard drie had payroll information on it for a small company? Luckily I had a friend who could solder at the fine level of detail needed, and he managed to re-attach the pins for me.
Oh please there are much more important things for people in education to focus on then some planet hundreds of light years away. What practical reason would they have for teaching (what little they know) about the contants of a planet's atmosphere in another galaxy.
Yeah, getting kids interested in other planets so they study science is a worthless endevor.
Don't forget Sharepoint Portal Server, it needs server 2003 to install also.

Then why do LCDs give me such horrable headaches when I use them, the same way that CRTs set below 75hz do?
No, and why should they? I'm the one that broke the CD.

The thing is, mod chips are not being abused. they are being used for exactly what they were designed for, for playing copied games.
ok, so they just went through your closets, and not your desk. I guess everything is alright then.
I would really like to check the site out. Please invite buffner@tkpups.com

I also jsut wateched the counter roll to 10000000. it's almost as fun watching that thing move as it is looking for 1337.
