The I-Squared Act of 2013 is not a progressive's bill. It was introduced by Orrin Hatch. Cosponsors are a mix, 14 dems, 11 repugs. Wanna know who is in charge? Follow the money.
Get a job doing support, call center, help desk, whatever, with a company that has tuition reimbursement. Get most of it done at a community college as they are usually easier & better schedule wise for the working adult. Just be sure it has a transfer program to a state college so your degree has a better name on it. This worked well for me.
What the heck would I make if I bought a 3D printer? I do 3D modeling for a living & I really can't think of anything I need. Except maybe an imagination I guess.
Any suggestions? Creating 3D models is actually fun, I love to do it. They were selling 3D printers at the Maker fair that came around last year & I was not impressed with what they were making.
The smell of cannabis is enough to enter, locked door or not. Any reason at all that an imaginative cop come come up with & in they can come in. Evidence? It can always be planted errr... found.
All this worry over the 2nd & the 4th has been nullified.
FDR brought electricity to the areas that private industry saw as unprofitable. Rural Electrification Act. The government can & should step in & force competition by laying the needed infrastructure.
The two lane interstate highway system was started way before 1956. Think Route 66.
Actually the original "superhighway" system, two lanes in either direction, limited entrance & exits, was conceived & started by FDR. He also insisted they go to places that did not need them (yet). Eisenhower was certainly a champion of the idea & got Congress to restart & FUND the system. Without him it might have been delayed & be different.
In 1999 I would only look at homes in locations with broadband. As long as we were moving why not? Our real-estate lady also thought I was nuts. Turned out to very well & I became a Q2 LPB! Now days I have three providers, Comcrap, Wow, & Uverse. Best deal this year is Uverse. Next year, we shall see.
Competition is the only way to help the consumer.
Yes, a Windows notebook that is also a tablet! So I can log on to my VPN (only from Windows, blame my IT dept.). Plus I need to be able to use Creo 2.0 (CAD software, again Windows only). I have a nice, high end notebook machine with a good graphics chipset but it's a boat anchor with about 45 mins battery life. & it takes up a ton of space. For any real work, it's gotta be the notebook. But for some fast, simple changes, I could get away with an Intel 4000 series graphics chipset.
So what I want is a combo notebook/tablet. The Surface2 Pro is appealing but pricey. The others out there, like Lenovo's Yoga series appear to be better for slightly less money. So when my gal & I are drinking coffee on Sunday morning, I got a nice, FAST tablet. But if I got some work I gotta do, no more lugging around that monster notebook, the combo machine can do both.
I'm still in the want-not-need mode so I haven't talked myself into it (yet!). These things are still around $800+...
I disagree. Not dangerous but he has been known to behave like a criminal. But yes he does have a long rap sheet & he is a recidivist. He also has a history of doing charitable work. 10 years is a bit stiff but after reading a bit, he did the crime & got caught.
Here I am with mod points & was ready do mod you down but I goodled Jeremy Hammond rap sheet & found the following article:
Exactly the same I.P. policies at my place of employment. We also split that 2K if more than one person works on it. This causes people to hide their ideas (& other's) & develop then in secret. Then file their invention disclosures on the sly. This causes a lot of animosity & accusations of idea theft. Very little real innovation has happened in years under this policy. A whole lotta crap though!
Here in the US the server can usually do better with separate billing. Most will round up on the customary 20%. Of course that is only my own observation.
My provider scrambles everything. I've yet to see a product that works between my cable box & my entertainment PC so I can record content. I can only record broadcast signals. Is there a viable solution available that is not too pricy?
Same treatment going from the US to Canada. I was headed to a meeting & my mistake was telling them my title: Engineering Consultant. Woops! No working without the Canadian version of a green card.
I use my Toshiba Thrive on weekend mornings at my girlfriend's place. We drink coffee at the kitchen table, reading & discuss the various content accessed on our tablets (she has an iPad). We regularly use my Thrive to watch Netflix, Hulu, & torrented content using the standard HDMI cable to her TV.
Tablets are good for consuming content. No good IMO for creating content.
Anicdotal yes, but.... I met my late wife back in 1996 in IRC (a gaming channel ha, imagine). She moved from LA to live with me in Michigan (again, imagine ha!) We were married in 1997 & were happy for 14 years until cancer took her from me. One thing about online chat was how much we ummm... chatted. The crazies & the bullshitters were picked out rather quickly, they couldn't keep the crazy/bullshit straight.
Again, when I felt I was ready, using an online dating service I've met an absolutely wonderful woman. We have so much in common it's scary. I don't think it is as good of a vetting system as IRC was though. I got lucky.
My opinion is online is actually better than the old ways.

How about our connecting our rural areas? We got those areas electricity back under FDR, we can get them broadband now.

It is a nicely written article, long read though. It puts into words, with links, what I've been saying for years.
In warmer climates, they go feral. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F... Disclaimer: I love chickens! Specially off my grill in the summertime.

He might want to ask Edward Snowden. If he really wants to know.

A peace agreement that everyone, including Kissinger, knew was a joke.
The foil on a single stick of gum got me pulled aside at a TSA checkpoint.
Article from the Chicago Sun Times.
Criminal but quite likely not dangerous.
Agreed. Maybe I've been lucky. I've got 4 of their drives in two different machines. No problems at all & yes they are very fast.

There is a higher percentage of female CEOs in the "third world" also. Cheap domestic help may be the biggest contributor.

I hate learning. But I do have a strong desire for knowing. I just hate that learning part.
Wish I had a basement to stick my 14 year old in.
