Someone gets uppity, freeze their ability to spend money. Want to know what someone is buying, where they are going, what their habits are? If they do it all with credit card, you can! Forget wall street, the prime beneficiaries are fascist governments.
Governments hate cash because they make it easy to do business they don't like without them knowing about it. The government you've got today may not be the government you've got tomorrow, so you shouldn't hand them that information.
Use cash whenever possible.
Bah, governments (at least our's here in the States) are too incompetent to ascribe this much evil to. However, multinational corporations (who own the politicians & write our laws) are the one's currently collecting & using all this data. Their goal is to maximize profits by extracting the most cash out of the populace as possible. They appear to be extremely successful seeing how much the general public is saving for retirement.
What's really racist is the idea that minorities are just incapable of getting an ID.
My step son turned 18 & never got an I.D. He didn't drive (or fucking work) so he never bothered. He wanted to vote. Getting all the documents together & getting him to the office to get a state I.D. was quite challenging. His dad had no idea where his birth certificate was so we had to get a copy. Without a car & financial resources, we would not have been able to do it.
When we needed a marriage license I had no birth certificate. I had to go quite a long way to pay for a copy of it. I had a valid license, a passport, but no, they had to have the birth certificate. No public transportation would get me there & there was no way to get it for free.
So it does not matter if your a minority or the color of you skin. What matters is the resources or the lack thereof. Voter I.D. laws & voter registration purges absolutely & veritably suppress the vote. That & lack of funding in poor areas helps a ton to keep the poor from voting. 2 hour waits only to find you're no longer registered. Florida 2000.
Wow. They got people on there (this fucking upwork place) claiming to be able to do what I do for $10 an hour. Right in the U.S. WTF happened to 4% unemployment!? The future's so dark, I gotta wear a headlamp. Retirement can't come soon enough, hope I can make it. Good luck to the younger folks, the lowest common denominator, as in wages, is what seems to be coming.
Wow. I don't even know where to start in a reply to that post. The only thing I agree with is most law enforcement do not have experience with hostage situations. The rest is pretty wacky. The war on drugs is not at all a real war. It's a tragic business of law, prisons, & money. Trillions spent on it & you can still score dope anywhere. Some day maybe we will completely change our because we all know what we are doing now is a total failure.
BLM & Antifa deploying guerrilla tactics? I'm not sure if your serious but if you are, citation please. Fake 911 calls are usually mentally ill suicide by cop situations. Please link these "occasional YouTube movies". I think your thinking of regular hollywood movies.
With a SWAT team showing up, my chances of surviving a small robbery turned hostage situation starts to drop fast. I would prefer enough law enforcement to lock down the area & one very good hostage negotiator.
It isn't a universal ban on all plastic bags, only disposable grocery/shopping bags that stores hand out for free.
It's perfectly workable.
What do you think everyone uses for kitty litter disposal bags? I refuse to pay for my plastic bags!
Those plastic bags they give away at the fruit/vegetable market/produce departments? I save those for cat litter. One time I ran out so I ordered a roll of them online, so I am never without. $15, don't be a cheapskate.
It does depend on what state it is but a resident is a resident (in my state). Eviction is the only legal way to get a resident out that refuses to leave. Funny story... a guy lets a friend move in who was homeless. A couple months go by & that friend also has a girlfriend living there. A couple more months go by & this guy comes home from work to find a party going on. Tells everyone that gotta leave, party is over... said girl says "why don't you leave?". He grabs her & shoves her on the front porch & locks her out.
This is where it gets fun... he gets arrested & charged with assault, she gets a personal protection order, he can't go home. He has to file to get both of them evicted from his own home. The bottom line (again at least in my state), be careful as to who you let stay at your home. After a month they are a resident.
because that was a big part of why the founding fathers wanted everybody armed.
This is way off topic but I keep seeing people spouting off about gun ownership opinions of the founding fathers. The founding fathers agreed on very little. Yes, many of them did fear having a standing army & believed in a "well-regulated militia". Everyone armed? Hardly. Firearms were expensive. Regular folks did not own them. There was something like 14% gun ownership (googled it) & half of those didn't work. There were not enough firearms to arm the standing militias. They had severe shortages & the state actually regulated firearms. Can you imagine.. they confiscated firearms from folks that couldn't use them.
Our founding fathers likely did not conceptualize "everybody armed".
Actually it is a solid indication of the extreme problem, corruption in US politics is causing. It is so bad and rampant, it is spreading through out the entire system. It is infecting US government at every level, Federal, State, Local and in every Agency. They are seeing the corruption at the top and emulating it....
Term limits can take a lot of blame for this. Go from board member to congressman back to board member after being term limited. Even when it's not that blatant, a term limited politician has no reason to work for the people that elected him & all the more reason to work towards their next position.
Many are pushing term limits at the federal level. What we would get is even more corruption & a bunch of amateurs that have no clue how to govern (even worse that we have now).
Pretty sure the 3-10/hour already has new car money removed.
This might be true, but that is a LOT of money. I really doubt after a year or so of driving, there is a savings account with the money for a replacement car.
Also, one needs to save payroll tax, but the miles driven deduction takes care of most of the income tax (the number deducted is $0.25/mile over true TCO according to this study).
Yes, there are deductions, more than just mileage, lots of them. File taxes quarterly & PAY them. I've been there/done that & in the end, I got nailed on taxes. The self employed get screwed horribly IMO.
If the $10/hour number is fairly accurate, it's not a terrible option, not big money, but I can certainly see why people would do it. Of course I imagine it varies a lot regionally too (tipping culture varies a lot).
Tipping!? I googled up Uber tipping & it's kina a mix on tipping. Officially, no tipping. However some tip & some drivers expect it. I've used Uber three times. The first time I did tip & the guy insisted he didn't want it.
The next couple I didn't & now I feel guilty.
So instead of $3.37 the Uber drivers are averaging $10.00. Big fucking deal. Long again in a different life I worked as a "self-employed contractor" doing delivery/pickup of airfreight & the money sucked. However, there was a lot of work & when I put in the hours & busted my ass I made decent money. Not paying my taxes made it seem life even more money. That, of course, caught up with me.
So if an Uber driver busts their ass they might make some scratch. But after a year of that their car & body will be burned out. Will there be savings (at $10 an hour) to buy another car? If there is really any money in this, it will not go to the drivers
They did the same thing back in the 70s. Cheeburger Cheeburger. Funny once, repeats were immediately old. Samurai Tailor, funny twice maybe, then it got old. Lately the alien abduction, funny as hell the first time, ok the second, not funny the third. Again I claim 9 out of 10 Weekend Updates good, with a few trial players that didn't work out. Fast forward makes it all good. The musical guests performances have actually gave me belly laughs but I don't think they were supposed to be funny.
(personally, I wouldn't mind if SNL were banned - they haven't been funny in many, many years. And even back then, their funny moments were very few and far between.)
Going off topic but then the topic sucks anyhow but people that say SNL has not been funny for years has not been watching it for years. The intro up to "IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!" is usually funny, the guest host monologue has rarely ever been funny (Tiffany Haddish an exception, now that was funny!). Over all it's history the skits are hit & miss, no surprise there. What's been consistently hilarious, laugh out loud, is Weekend Update. Currently Colin Jost & Michel Che are doing a great job. I've been recording it for longer than I care to admit (started with VHS) & the secret is that fast forward button.
Kenan Thomson, Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, these people make me laugh weekly. Have you seen Mikey Day & Alex Moffat doing the Trump son's OMG that is some funny shit right there, I don't care what your politics are.
There's my opinion, for what it's worth. DVR it, watch it, you will likely be entertained.
He better be able to keep his job. He's gonna need to pay off that phone... the receipt shows he paid $1498.84! Holy crap! & I thought my S8 was too expensive at $180 (after the credits, rebates, & trading in my S7 with a cracked screen).
The dog is lucky it was small & cute & didn't get shot. She was lucky they allowed her a towel when she was sitting on the couch while law enforcement officers were rummaging through their home. He's lucky he was able to keep his mouth shut & they didn't knock him around a bit before taking him in. They are all lucky to be alive to tell their tale.
Currently I am paying for (& seem to be actually be getting it!) 150Mbps. Capped at 1 terabyte, bastards. We've come close but not gone over, yet. I do not see cell service replacing it this year. Maybe in the future.
Someone gets uppity, freeze their ability to spend money. Want to know what someone is buying, where they are going, what their habits are? If they do it all with credit card, you can! Forget wall street, the prime beneficiaries are fascist governments.

Yep. A substantial burden like not having the resources to obtain your birth certificate. This problem has nothing to do with 2000.
Doesn't help if you can't get the documentation.
Exactly. Impossible for someone without resources.
What's really racist is the idea that minorities are just incapable of getting an ID.

Why would beef be related to the obesity epidemic?

All coffee companies will put the warning on all their products. Fucking idiocy.

My household uses an average of 800GB a month. If I cut ever get around to cutting the cable, that will go up.
