People confuse "manufactured" and "heavily processed"
I'm all for taking natural ingredients and industrialising it, but when your treatments of foods becomes overly processed, you're adding corn syrup to everything, or MSG, or E-marked ingredients, or keeping things in plastics which are soluble and act like female hormones, etc.. that's when I start to object.
Pretty soon there will be no more businessmen who are honest because the environment created by the government power makes that impossible.
You don't have to have every single businessman be rotten to the core to destroy good ideas like the USPS, or every single politician, you only need a few in every sector, the rest will stay silent while a good thing is destroyed because it's not in their personal interest to see a common good thing succeed.
There's only really one solution/rule to this problem of admins denying information which gets put forward.
1) If the editor/admin cannot verify that the information cited is true or false, or that the source is true or false, then the admin/editor must leave it alone. Only verifiable false information is allowed to be removed, and a citation to why it was removed and links to verify that it is indeed false should be given.
i.e. innocent until proven guilty. There's more of a chance of wrong data, but more honest people wouldn't feel as if they're wasting their time editing things they can cite and link to, and over time the structure would be more solid.
Don't know why they don't have that in there right now.
And if farmland was owned/monitored/in control of a single entity which could change farming development to the more organic but less efficient way, then that would be fine.
But farming is done by lots of individuals who are competing for cash, and they want to maximize _their_ profit
The free market system in this regard is failing, it's making people make bad decisions due to their own greed.
Fact is, Fox new isn't republican, they're self-interested rich-bitchers.
Fact also is, neo-republicans aren't republicans, they're self-interested rich-bitchers
Ron Paul is a republican, in fact the only REAL republican I've seen on the republican side. The only real reason they haven't thrown him out is because the heist of the republican party of the rich would be too obvious.
Why do you care if a label goes under? a label is a guy with a phone ordering CD productions, and scheduling marketing propaganda for its bands.
- Something the bands themselves are quite capable of doing themselves if they aren't retards.
Labels should never have gotten the power they do over bands and the propagation of music, but they did because the tv/radio stations found it simpler to deal with a handful of contacts instead of dealing with every single band.
With the advent of internet, we don't need tv/radio, and soon tv/radio will just be one of the pages/feeds you can watch/listen to on the internet out of millions.
Which is great, because then musicians are going to perform regularly to make a living instead of coasting on a single song they made 60 years ago.
This solution from the producer is just him making sure that his product is still the solution.
We the people don't want the solution, and whoever he bribed to make this decision should be fired.
Enough is enough.. Everyone should just stop flying altogether as there are no alternative way of flying without this invasive crap. If there was an airport A where this happened and airport B where things were normal, no one would go to airport A.. but this is happening at EVERY SINGLE AIRPORT.
911 happened because people were used to allowing the "terrorist" to take the airplane wherever they wanted, becayse they'd stay safe, now if this happened, everyone would kill the terrorist because otherwise the terrorist might kill them all.
Why do stupid people always get to make stupid choices that affects billions of travelers every year?
I recommend Slashdot puts NELL's twitter feeds onto slashdot. I'm finding the "quotes" to be stupid, would be more interesting to see how old nelly is doing.
"The universe had a beginning" - according to current deductions: yes
"Anything that had a beginning must have been caused by something else" - that's a logical statement, and there's no way to say that it is true regarding the big bang, or false. Don't you just love the uncertainty?
"Therefore, the universe was caused by something else (a creator)" - well, that's a logical fallacy. you might think it's true, but logically you haven't proven your case because there's no way of knowing why the universe began. There's not even the certainty that you can use logic before the beginning of the universe. It's a complete unknown, you just don't know, but you try and fill that unertainty with something. Try acknowledging that uncertainty instead.
You basically reiterate the same logical fallacy, so I'll cut that out, i.e.
"This God who exists is identical to the God described in the Christian Scriptures" - what about the gods of egyptian cultures? Your (incorrect) reasoning has in no way ruled out that it might mean other gods, rather than stick to your incorrect reasons, do the right thing, accept the uncertainty.
"Time, space and matter came into existence at a certain point in the finite past." - this is the same argument as the first sentence above, i.e.: true.
"Since time, space and matter began to exist they had a cause." - This is the same as second sentence form you above, i.e. false. There's no way to know whether we can really say whether logic can explain what caused the beginning. It's a complete uncertainty. Embrace it.
"Therefore, whatever caused them was time-less (or eternal), space-less (not subject to locality, or omnipresent) and matter-less (immaterial, non-physical, or spirit)." - Because of the uncertainty, you can't use logic, and because of the inability to use logic, this can't be proven, because this can't be proven, you can't prove a higher power exists.
"All designs imply a designer" - A cosmological fart of space/time/matter which expands randomly isn't a design.. but this is what the universe is, there's no sign that anything we all can see and corroborate and theorise about has been designed. It has all been explained by theories of gravity, relativity, electro-magnetism and other provable scientific theories.
"There is great design in the universe" - no there isn't, take a ball, throw it. can you design the path to do an S-shape while it falls? Can you ask your god to do it for you? Everything we see is designed by natural forces. there's no design other than human design, and that's mostly to make dildos and other less self-entertaining enterprises.
"God is defined as a being than which no greater can be conceived." - that's a logical statement, i.e. there's no truth in it in and of itself, no more than if I were to say "god is made out of peaches". these 2 statements are equally true, and equally false. there's an uncertainty just within making that statement. If you can disprove that "god is made of peaches", then you can disprove that god is "a being than which no greater can be conceived". If you can prove that god is "a being than which no greater can be conceived", then you have also proved that "god is made of peaches".
"Moral laws imply a Moral Law Giver" - I would take this to mean "Human laws imply Human law giver", who else but humans are interested in what is ethical and what isn't? Ever heard of bears or ants being interested in that?
"There is an objective moral law" - that's a logical statement. same as above with the pears, there's a basic uncertainty regarding its validity because its validity isn't based on truth or untruth. Accept the uncertainty and you'll understand that the content of this sentence is and can be completely arbitrary (i.e. the laws about peaches).
"Therefore, there is a Moral Law Giver" - a logical fallacy, see above.
"If atheism is true, everything is permissible." - finally, a true sentence. Everything which
Why are people afraid to have their own online market? There are plenty of opportunities with Symbian and Maemo and Android, you do not in any way whatsoever have to touch the iphone in any way and still make money from these markets.
There would be a real benefit in an online marketplace for cellphone software in general, but there's no one stopping you in creating your own online marketplace for your stuff for any/all platforms you have desire to publish, which isn't so monotheistic as the Iphone platform.
Use the internet, use the power of having full control yourself, make your own marketplace.
You do not have to plead the fifth if you know that you did something wrong, you should also plead the fifth if you're innocent and don't want to give information that might be then used against you, here's a great lesson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMQYB2Coufg
Don't just think "I'm innocent" and thus should or have to answer all questions.
Can you open source, or link to how you did it? sounds awesome and I'd love to read how you did it.
I'm actually for the idea that we try and do something cool with location based things, but I have no interest in just my location to the nearest mobile telephone station, actual GPS tools which would be fun and interesting to use would be awesome, just like your example.
Space will stretch, and anything in space which doesn't have mass will stretch as well, i.e. light and other energy and the rate of stretching will be c.
There's nothing instantaneous about gravity fluctuations.. they happen at the same speed as c.
I'd also take warp drive hypothesis with a grain of salt until someone actually makes one.
As a sidenote, how interesting is it that space isn't "nothing"? It's stuff, cool stuff, but stuff we don't know much about.
The REAL problem with wave not being understood is that it's a PROTOCOL.. it's not this crap google made which is half-forum-half-email-half-instant messenger.. it's a protocol for live updates of text (so far).
What this means is that you can make an email program which uses this protocol, or you could make a wiki which uses this protocol, or you could make a spreadsheet program which uses this protocol, or a word editor program, a photoshop program, hell, you could make an OS that uses this protocol.
That would mean 1) no more locked files for editing when 2 or more people are using the same file 2) any file is inherently available for collaboration, instant collaboration because you see the changes instantly, and not incrementally (i.e. after you press enter). 3) anything you do is saved on a server instantly, in a timeline, so no more "oh fuck, I forgot to save"
I'll shout it out now. STOP LOOKING AT GOOGLE WAVE AS AN APPLICATION, look at it as an underlying protocol which has serious benefits, and remake every program you're used to use with it, the benefits are worth it.

in regards to the prices of the USPS, you meant to say real cents.

Our growth is also based on research, imagination, cooperation and tools made from those factors.
Hans rosling truly shows us that the world is not about markets, control or wealth, it's about people.
I think it's funny and cute.
They're dealing with an honest man with ideals, and all they can do is dig up a few cases of looking for love and broken condoms.
The guys isn't a douche, he's a normal honest man with ideals.
It's a shame US politicians don't realise that and get his opinion on how to make their government better.
Faux Fax on Fuxing Fox.

so prior art is only prior art if someone payed the patent office basically what comes down to being bribe money to look at it?
Talk about a stupid system which should be thrown out.
I agree, Wave is an amazing idea.
Love it, and would want to work more with it, hope the change makes it easier for people to start picking it apart and doing more cool things with it.
What's not to love? It's an instant protocol over the web. Wonderful.

*sigh*

Hate this crap..
You have no idea what you're doing as a system administrator if you can't solve and implement these questions yourself within a few days.
Use what works, and design around people.
Who watches TV these days? that's right, the un-technical. Who are those? women.
I watch shows, when I want to watch 'em, not when they're streamed from some server.
Maybe in 15 years that will be the norm for boys, men and girls.. non-tech women will still watch tv until they die.
networks will have that long to switch from being network channels to youtube channels.

Rules and laws are only useful if everyone agrees that they're useful and should be followed.
Here we have companies trying to contain their bloated profits by bullying everyone and everything, and they're called the good guys?
Here we also have people trying to make a buck giving people access to what they want how they want it, and they're the bad guys?
In my opinion, all digital content should be free.. and if people want to support a production company, they donate money.
