Ross King, gutless traitor, you and your tin cans, your names will live in infamy.
I find the term "scholarship" or "study" not only perfectly respectable but more honest in the sense it discloses the difficulty, complexity and hence limitations inherent in the respective fields. But it's a matter of semantics, a "social stuff", and so...
I switched over because I realized that "soft" science asks harder questions.
;-) They certainly pose more interesting questions.
...If judges are giving an easier time to lawyers than they are to parties who represent themselves, even when they make exactly identical arguments, you could test that hypothesis with an experiment, too...
I doubt it. The social stuff has way too many variables, both known and unknown, and the experiments, if any, are constrained by the expense and ethical constraints.
"Hard science" has built up much credibility capital for the therm "scientific", painfully and slowly, and using the term willy-nilly like this will destroy it pretty quick.
"Every meat eater I know thinks along the lines of, "Yeah, they can feel pain, that's why we kill them quickly." That's a lot more sensible as far as I'm concerned. A lot of these "But I'll Eat Fish!" vegetarian people are giant hypocrites.""
That ain't no 3rd-party article, it's an Apple sales brochure.
Disgusting.

It was software-compatible with 8080, but had twice the registers and supported faster clocks, among other things. Their 16-bit offering was Z8000, I think, but once IBM PC went with 8088, it had no chance.

"I still think the Z80 and successors were great processors - why did we end up with that piece of shit the 8086?"
80+ proof is 80+ proof to this alcoholic.
So... who's bringing the gin? Vodka is cool, too.
And lemon. Mustn't forget the lemon.

Thai king's mama so fat she spills over to Australia in Google map.
Guess this is meant for CEOs and CIOs. Interesting ammunition for office politics, but it's CYA time these days - not the best timing.
Belgian "beers" are sacrilege for pretentious fruitcakes. Bavarians for the win.

Stories like this make me feel *OLD*.
Take my lawn.
Hello, Einstein. Malaria is a pesky disease, spam is a yummy meat-like substance. See the difference?
Why bother when it has already become de-facto reality? It's not even pointless - it's a counterproductive troll.
"I don't envy them though, providing online news is a horrible way to try to earn revenue."
So true. I come here for comments, you know.
Joystick.
Ok, you win.
Place an oversized joystick next to it - a puny netbook makes it look even bigger.

In other words, go to nursing school.
I told you last week, nursing school!
Next question.
""In fact pretty much the whole of the European Union is off-limits due to extradition laws." "...." "Yeah.""
Really? I rather like Eastern Europe...
"Future alien archeologists will have a hell of a job sorting out the crap from the, well, stuff that is just a little less than crap."
And it's a formidable task - sorting out crappola from craptastic.

That's why I eat chicken instead.
Then why is your pants smoking?

That 800lb gorilla known as I.B.M.
So what do you say, CalTech, Berkeley, Stanford, etc.? Your silence is deafening.
It's a relief to see some elites in the country live up to the higher standard expected of them, unlike, say, oh... I don't know... BANKERS?
Yeah, I think we should, like, get out money back. Or something.
