    There is a reason its not as pretty as you would like. It would cost more. If you want a clean case, extend the ports and make one.

    Do you parse what i said? Pyrrhic victory is still victory, but at what cost? They will NEVER be able to hit that number with Diablo 4 (whenever that may be). D3 is a lesser son of greater sires, and the line is now tainted.

    Ever play racing games on a Kb/mouse Mr. Genius? It sucks terribly. Ditto for flight games. Ever try to carve out a curve in Need for Speed using digital only controls? The right tool for the right job remember? Do you REALLY think the KB/mouse is the end all, be all of controllers?

    What i want is for them to NOT cut coverage of the lander SECONDS after we got confirmation it was safe. The landing team checklist was valuable info and they cut out to the NASA TV anchor. What I want is to NOT focus on a team members haircut to pander to kids. What I want is for them to realize sending a teacher to space is stupid. I want NASA to be NASA, a bastion of science, not pandering

    i attended the OC Mini Maker Faire. It was less then impressive. A bunch of 3d printers, a mobile seesaw, motorized cupcakes and some dude who made an impressive looking R2-D2. So impressive i couldnt help but think "If this guy has this much talent, couldnt he make his own IP instead of ripping off Lucas?"

    Media slots are fading, not growing. Expect to see less and less of them from the big players. They dont want you to 'side-load' content.

    We are well beyond the "if things arent exactly as i demand, i wont participate.". Like it or not, we are not the drivers of tech anymore and our influence in telling people not to buy spy machines is gone. THe only path left is RMS style or else a doctrine of mitigation like stripping DRM yourself, and backing up on your personal network.

    At the root of all 'evidence', is faith. Its the trust that you are telling me the truth AND Im parsing it correctly. There is a universe of error possible between those states.

    You took my statement as binary. 'Wasting millions of dollars on sports programs' wasnt meant ot imply that all sports programs are bad, merely that sports spending isnt nearly under the same kind of scrutiny as other equally valid activities. A HORRENDOUSLY disproportionate amount of money is spent on sports. More is spent on sports then is received back to students as services so your millions in profit argument is null. Sports profits prop up an ever increasing sports program, its not the net gain you are trying to make it up to be. Sports have their place in education, but its not at the head of the table.

    You cant PROVE anything to another human being, it takes faith on some level. I have no direct personal proof that the Sun is a huge ball of gas, i take it on faith that the scientists are telling me the truth. Their claims are lent credence by their methods and willingness to accept they are possibly wrong.

    Reductio ad absurdum. You can only regress faith so far before you have to accept faith as faith. There are no solid foundations, except for the ones you find and accept for yourself.
