Should I pay for Kingdoms of Amalur knowing the entire studio is dead and the owners ran off with the money? Paying for these products simply makes the money go down a hole.

You can pick up a factory refurb apple dev kit (aka mac mini) for $519+$99/year. For the price of a macbook you could buy 2 dev machines, and a dev license for 10 years.

Diablo 3 sales numbers need to be put into proper context. Diablo 3 sold on the strength of Diablo 2. Diablo 4 would not see anywhere near those numbers. Blizz burned an INCREDIBLE amount of loyalty capital on D3.
You do understand that Libraries/Databases are the only way to handle large music libraries right? I hated the move to databased music too, but it makes sense and its the only solution that scales.

NO. Be happy we have the current CableCARD setup, it could be WAY worse. The M card on my HDHomerunPRIME works great, no need for change.

FEAR was actually pretty damn good. It picked up some good bits from Max Payne , The Ring and Firestarter and ran with it.
