THe iphone was absolutely obvious and deriviative. The problem is all the phones that came before didnt have the full ecosystem to back it up. The iphone by itself is a an ok phone for the most part. its the software and ecosystem behind it that really drives the device. And Apple benefited greatly from seeing others mistakes and missteps too. The street goes both ways.
And were eventually conquered. Im sorry did you have a salient point? Doesnt really matter when they got here, they couldnt hold on to it. The fact that we actually signed and honor treaties with them is quite astounding.
The indians were MILITARILY CONQUERED. They are a defeated people and it is only by our GRACE that we gave them land back, so please roll back the rhetoric just a bit.
So sick of these patents that are nothing more then taking a few existing ideas re-configuring them and calling it whole new idea. Patents should protect revolutions in design, not evolutions.
There is speculation they are using a modified HD-DVD format. Which would make ALOT of sense and significantly reduce costs for the huge gain in capacity. Personally i think discs are almost anachronistic now, but apparently we arent quite there yet.
Off topic, but i really hate that Descent is still in the hands of Interplay. They are holding on to it until they go through another bankruptcy and then they'll sell an IP, beg for more financing for a new game and then promptly burn through the cash from the IP sale and go bankrupt again. Rinse, Repeat
Speaking of Prey, you see the E3 interview footage for Prey 2? Has absolutely NOTHING to do with the first game in any way shape of form, yet they call it Prey 2....
Considering the spectrum these phones use is PUBLIC PROPERTY that is leased to the telecoms, the 'govt' wont be getting out of telecom regulations anytime soon. You do realize it is impossible to have a fair and reasonable marketplace of any kind without 'govt', right?
"Sorry, but in civilised society, if you work for a company that makes huge profits that you have worked towards creating, then you should have every right to ask for a better share in that profit and/or better conditions as a result."
Seriously? if you want to share in the profit of a publicly traded company then become a shareholder. Employees are due nothing more then their normal compensation. I would be insulted if my employees had the nerve to insinuate that their pay had any correlation to my profit margin.
They dont have a monopoly in the true market sense of the word. Your statement is like saying Ford has a monopoly on Lincolns. And no, refusing for no good reason is not an actionable monopoly abuse. This "apple is a monopoly" shit is getting really tired. They are NOWHERE NEAR Microsoftian levels of monopoly abuse. Not even close, they dont have the marketshare for it.
He also had nefarious forces working VERY hard against him, Edison for one. Its hard to avoid rhetoric from 'the man that lit the world'
I pretty sure PC sim rudder pedals and or steering wheel pedals can claim prior art on the "world's first foot controlled digital interface"

Self replicating pr0n
Thanks for instantly turning 'Grey Goo' into 'White Goo" in my head. Fuck you very much.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
They are being used to spy on you today my friend.

Too bad there is no 'moron' mod point for you.

I'm pretty sure Eagle Dynamics' DCS series is considered 'trainer' grade simulation.

Beat me to it. I have the game sitting on my shelf. It sucked but i COULD play with Vista users, all 7 of them.

US bonds are backed by armed forces and a huge legal framework. Bitcoin is not. Your argument is logical diarrhea

You are a TINY market in the middle of nowhere. From wikipedia: The population was 14,674 at the 2010 census
Good luck with that. Netflix is a darling right now. Block them and you seriously might be answering to Congress.
Debit cards are issued by banks, subject to strict regulation. Paypal is not a bank.
Correction, its a publicly owned business, of which I am part owner.

No we dont. Using the word moral in this context is just a swap for 'i feel justified in my position and am unassailable'
Seems like the market is serving you just fine. That $500 joystick is anyways.....
