Im getting really sick and tired of SMS becoming a requirement to operate. I DO NOT like the fact that either I get charged for incoming texts, or pay a blanket monthly fee. INCOMING TEXT SHOULD BE FREE, or at least allow me to comfirm/deny. As it is now I have SMS completely turned off.
I will believe in the death penalty when you will prove to me the infallibility of human beings.

Killing one innocent soul in the name of 'justice' is worse then letting 10,000 guilty people go free. If you dont beleive this, then perhaps someday it will be YOU strapped to the gurney waiting for the injection. A JUST society CANNOT allow the death penalty, for no system of justice is without error.
I was under the impression that L4D was going to get the same treatment as TF2, free updates. If I have to PAY for updates to a very short game, my loyalty to Valve will fade. L4D was VERY short, and to expect to pay for DLC on top of that is an insult.
There is a gulf of difference. A fingerprint is simply a physical pattern impression. DNA evidence is your entire medical code, complete with information about genetic disease, lineage, etc etc. DNA holds several orders of magnitude more data then a simple fingerprint.
YOur DNA is a compelte record of YOU. A fingerprint is a simple pattern impression. You can garner TRUCKLOADS of data about who you are by your DNA. Not the same at all, not even close.
Actually the law varies quite wildly in compulsion to report laws. Ill cite the Las Vegas case of a person who watched a little girl get abducted and raped in a public bathroom, did not report, and was charged with nothing but the public's moral outrage.
Ill post the text instead of a link just for rebuttal.
Service Pack 2 (SP2) (codenamed "Springboard") was released on 6 August 2004 after several delays, with a special emphasis on security.[39] Unlike the previous service packs, SP2 adds new functionality to Windows XP, including an enhanced firewall, improved Wi-Fi support, such as WPA encryption compatibility, with a wizard utility, a pop-up ad blocker for Internet Explorer 6, and Bluetooth support. The new welcome screen during the kernel boot removes the subtitles "Professional", "Home Edition" and "Embedded" since Microsoft introduced new Windows XP editions prior to the release of SP2. The green loading bar in Home Edition and the yellow one in Embedded were replaced with the blue bar, seen in Professional and other versions of Windows XP, making the boot-screen of operating systems resemble each other. Colours in other areas, such as Control Panel and the Help and Support tool, remain as before.
Service Pack 2 added new security enhancements, which include a major revision to the included firewall that was renamed to Windows Firewall and is enabled by default, Data Execution Prevention that takes advantage of the NX bit that is incorporated into newer processors to stop some forms of buffer overflow attacks, and removal of raw socket support (which supposedly limits the damage done by zombie machines). Additionally, security-related improvements were made to e-mail and web browsing. Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes the Windows Security Center, which provides a general overview of security on the system, including the state of anti-virus software, Windows Update, and the new Windows Firewall. Third-party anti-virus and firewall applications can interface with the new Security Center.[40]
I know so many gaming retards that play Warcraft with 8 GB of memory. Also, with the rise in VRAM, its sometimes necessary. 2 GPUs with 1 GB of ram each limits your 32 bitsystem ram to roughly 2 GB. SO in some cases 64 bit is necessary even for mundane tasks
My 8800 GTX burnt out too, replaced with a 4850 that was on sale for $150 figuring id throw it in my media center PC when i got my 8800 back. The 4850 works so well I havent bothered to send in the 8800. I play on a 24" dell (1920x1200) and the 4850 runs most everything VERY well at that res.
I picked up a 4850 when my 8800 GTX died as a reaplcement while i was waiting on the RMA. I figured i would pop it into my media center after i got my 8800 GTX back. It works so well i jsut kept it and didnt bother sending in the loud and huge 8800 GTX
In terms of cost/benefit ratio, nothing beats a stripped down PC with a lot of drives stuffed in it or in an external esata enclosure. I run a HP NAS MV2020, and a linksys NAS200 and they both cant hold a candle to a PC in throughput. Ive heard of some commercial systems out there, but they cost a small fortune. Just my $.02
Any time a human body is placed into a situation or environment that it was not evolved for (such as moving 200mph, being in a vacuum, being really, really deep underwater, being above a certain altitude without a pressurized room), there WILL be a chance that people will die.
If just as good you mean more resource intensive for roughly the same functionality then yeah you are right. Vista is an unneccesary and overpriced extension of the functionality found in XP. There is almost NOTHING that will run on Vista that wont run on XP. Even the supposed DX10 Vista only games were easily patched to run on XP.
Im sure Vista runs fine now, but it doesnt offer me anythign functionality wise to risk the driver and hardware compatibility, not to mention the change hardware-reactivate BS.
In the market there are blank CDs that are labeled music. They are the only kind of discs early stand alone CD recorders would take. Its a special subset of the blank CD-Rs. These discs have a levy on them.
Here is a little copy/paste for ya :
For stand alone CD-Recorders: Yes. Stand alone CD-Recorders will only record on a CD, that has its Digital Audio Music format. Stand alone CD-Recorders are very picky about which CDs you use. Stand alone CD-Recorders will not record on a data CD-R.
A blank Music CD-R is designed for stand alone CD-Recorders.
A blank data CD-R is more designed for computer CD-Recorders.
However a computer CD-Recorder can either record on a Music CD-R or a Data CD-R.

Must be a very sad place indeed. No wine with dinner, really? Savages.

Obviously you do care, you support a system that rapes and pillages the populace for gain.
I know people who were hurt or impaired after drinking alcohol, your logic stops there.
Its called political compromise. For now, ill take decriminalization
What that line you quoted means is that 360 owners wont receive the SDK, as the Xbox 360 is not a platform you can develop levels on.

Any database built in this manner would be more worthless then the garbage you gleaned the data from.
Read more history. It is not unfounded fear that raises our hackles, but the proven history of those in power.

Its a municipal code in some town in CA, not a state law.

I think that is Rule of Acquisition #4453

SO we should be forced to buy a entirely new IP license to replace the media it came on. Brilliant idea, genius.
Let me elaborate:
Any time a human body is placed into a situation or environment that it was not evolved for (such as moving 200mph, being in a vacuum, being really, really deep underwater, being above a certain altitude without a pressurized room), there WILL be a chance that people will die.
I normally dont do this but...... Fixed.

Nintendo has proven that commodity hardware can produce acceptable images fo the mass market at reduced cost. Your statement is a bit overzealous.
