Yep. Win32 apps are labeled 'Desktop App', even the java version of Minecraft, but Win Store apps get 'Trusted Windows Store App'. Its and incredibly dishonest way of presenting things. The digital signature that popped in an admin prompt when i installed Minecraft isnt 'trusted'?

No, the biggest problem with SteamOS is that it does not perform as fast as Windows. My GPU becomes less valuable in Linux. The games thing is dumb, SteamOS has more games than either console. If you look at it solely as a console with all their limitations, it has a hell of a library.
The difference is your fingerprints are physical items that exist in the real world. The entire point of the 5th Amendment is protection for whats in your head, nothing else. Its a check on the State's power to compel you to provide something it cannot prove is real. Your fingerprints are real, thus they can compel you. The simplest solution is to not rely on biometrics, they suck as security devices.
Virtual Reality will consume all the GPU you can possibly throw at it, and will continue to do so for the next 5-10 years. Hell, Trials on Tattoine was built for a Quad Titan setup (3 GPU, one PhysX). I will be ordering one of these day one.
This is one of the major reasons i stopped buying digital games from Sony or investing any money on my PSN account. I simply dont trust them to properly run a network. The inability to change the names at all is a HUGE red-flag. On top of that the 'primary console' nonsense where you can lose access to your stuff because you changed hardware too often or in the wrong way.
You are defending a police officer who tried to execute an autistic person holding a toy truck, and MISSED. There is no spin needed, that cop needs to be in handcuffs now as he is an absolute danger to society.
I lost all respect for the law when i witnessed two police officers severely beat a man trying ot get the crack rock out of his mouth. He was just walking up to the store and was a known druggie so the cops grabbed him. They had absolutely no concern for the man's safety. They were close to breaking his jaw to get it, their only thought was 'Get the drug'. They acted like trained dogs, not humans. When you see the law applied like that, its hard to keep respect for it.
I wanted to use a clip from the movie The Green Mile, as a lesson to my friend on the death penalty. Its the scene after they execute the Indian and one of the guards is gloating over his dead body and Brutal tells him to shut up, 'hes paid what he owed, hes square with the house.' The encryption on the DVD makes that impossible to share that fair use clip and express that idea.
"The general purpose PC's while make us happy to play with... However for the standard user it is just a risk of failure."
Yep and instead of forcing users to actually learn something, we gave them all the power and none of the responsibility, so now all must suffer for the ignorant masses. Great job guys....
I wasnt defending aging tech, i was defending useful tech. Nothing wrong with green screen and mainframes if its useful and not a burden. I get what you are saying, but its exactly the reason i commented, too many people want change for change's sake.
Just because it looks old, doesnt necessarily mean it is. The mainframe paradigm is still alive and utilized everyday effectively. My doctor's terminal in the rooms are just thin-clients.
And then i have to hack away at it to de-crapify it. I would rather start with something with less crap to wade through. Not to mention i cant change the baseband at all. What you are suggesting is a doing something completely insecure because you think its cheaper. Almost the entirety of mobile apps are complete insecure junk. Android is crap (as is iOS)

You are preaching an unrealistic ideal. The biggest problem here is allowing MS to use the word 'unlimited'. That word simply should not be allowed in marketing material. If you cant offer something truly unlimited then you cant use the word in your marketing. I put the burden on on the professional marketers and lawyers that allowed this messaging to go through, not the consumers.
The only dick here is MS for using the word unlimited. Dont write checks your company cant cash.
He doesnt have to prove himself right, the opposing side has to prove he infringed. Generally speaking, it would start with a simple C&D, and then from there you can make the economic choice to pursue it or not. Considering there is no real money involved, its really not a big deal.

Where did you get the thought that you can OWN an idea? DO you understand how fucking stupid that is as we sit in the middle of an Information Age? You are petty and small and standing on the shoulders of giants. Learn to see the world past your own nose.

You chose convenience over security...This is a dilemma of your own making. You CHOSE to make it required.
" In today's saner TV environment it would disappear after three episodes." The same exact thing could be said for Seinfeld.

Yes, i realized after i worded it badly. I have no respect for our current implementation and execution of law.

IN case anyone doesnt already know this, Iflyhelicopters is a notorious contrarian troll.

If i grow my own crops on my own land for my own consumption, how does that effect inter-state commerce...
It does, you just have to use the proper formatting tags.

This sort of thing is specifically exempted.

Contrary to popular belief, the government doesnt get to control every fucking thing.
Devil's Advocate: Apple could have filed it to be proactive and keep it out of everyone else's hands.
He is still a majority stockholder, only Ballmer has more. Its still his company whether hes on the board or not..
