Yes, but you can push the problem to things like an Intel NUC running XBMC/Kodi where you can control the software stack and what it does. You can blackhole anything you want right on the device.
Android TV is boxed up pretty tight so far, nothing shady on it yet. I have the Nexus Player and its nice, but limited, considering its running a quad core Bay Trail. I was thinking about a Sony TV for PS now and Android TV.
Just don't use the built in TV stuff. Its universally crap. Add your own cheap devices that can be tossed if they displease you. Easier than replacing a screen. I removed the wifi module from my TV and just use an Intel NUC with XBMC.
This is a silly perspective. When you get older, you will see the faces change again and again, but the stories remain the same. The important thing is the PERFORMANCES, not the genes.
I have been watching Sony VERY closely since the CD rootkit and OtherOS issue(I actually had Linux up and running on my PS3). Please don't lecture me about them.
My Sony a6000 does all that stuff and much more, including the ability to add more apps and functions such as stuff that would traditionally need post-processing off-device. Not to mention any ios or android device can act as a remote live feed screen/trigger/dial adjustments. I can project a slideshow on my Panasonic TV directly from the camera over wifi using standard DLNA, its completely seamless. Can post to facebook, flikr directly in-camera easily. If you know where to look, the camera manufacturers aren't sitting still and are working on making sure they have feature parity and more.
ITs called life. When you participate in such a large group discussion like twitter, you are ALWAYS going to have disharmony. If she didn't want to participate in a global discussion, she shouldn't have entered into one by using these services. The more people you try to connect to, the more 'trolls' you will get, its simple numbers. I would rather have trolls and have everyone develop a thicker skin than censorship.
I have been carrying an 8" windows tablet since they came out (just got a 7" one). ITs the best way to say 'fuck mobile phones and their toy OS.'. Before that i would jsut remote into my desktop at home. Mobile browsers suck, not only performance, but the monetization is so strong they ruin the experience with crap. Mobile OS's are basically shady fucks trying to get your grandma to buy stuff.
What we need to do now is shame the shit out of ISPs to drop their lawsuits and accept Title II. Paint their shareholders as greedy fucks hampering human progress. .
You could level this charge against any industry group....I know its your thing to find holes in arguments and fill them with pointless arguments, but w/e
You need to study monopolies more. Having a monopoly is not actually illegal. What IS illegal is using your monopoly in one market to leverage another market to the detriment of the market.
Government provided the protection and infrastructure for the marketplace to exist. Or do you think that stuff is free? Taxes suck, but they arent money for nothing.
"oppressed by the mob to pay for nonsense that I have 0 interest in, actually less than 0 interest."
You can never exist in this state as long as other humans are alive. TF2 sniper said it best.
"cause at the end of the day, as long as there are two people left on the planet, someone is gonna want someone dead."
Even if you have 0 interest in something, others in the closed system have interest in you. It is inescapable. Make the best of it, ignore it at your peril.
I agree with you in principle on why upload is constrained, but the floor is going to rise so much that it will make it moot. Anything past 20 Mbps for everyone is internet paradise. WE could get a true decentralized internet no problem with that baseline in every home.
I disagree with your analysis. The 5th is intended to prevent the government from presuming anything from my silence. It also prevents them from punishing me for that silence. It should shield me from divulging ANYTHING in my head, without limit.
They hid it beneath a scroll bar. You have t o click the 'make an account' where it looks like yo uare going ot enter your MS info. If you scroll down that page, it will offer how to make a local account. Its so fucking shady.
Yes, but MS makes it hard to even make a local account by deliberately hiding the button under a scroll. This isnt the first time they have discouraged users from making local accounts. At least in Win 8 the option was visible without scrolling.
Yep MS always pushes the option they dont want you to take below a scroll. They did the EXACT same thing with Games for Windows Live. If you wanted to make a local account, you had to scroll to see it.

Its god-damn Idiocracy happening right now. Ads all the way down......
The TV will nag you if you don't connect it to the internet? What TVs do this? I want names!

So stop using Twitter? Find a different way to pass messages?
That's when you WALK AWAY. Seriously, no one NEEDS twitter. Its a decent service but it could replaced (technologically) very easily.

Samsung is a hardware company, Google is an advertising company.

How are they doing that over copper? Bonding multiple lines?

Its not going to change, they did the EXACT same shit with Games for Windows Live local accounts. Hide the option below a scroll.
