Yes, but you can push the problem to things like an Intel NUC running XBMC/Kodi where you can control the software stack and what it does. You can blackhole anything you want right on the device.

Android TV is boxed up pretty tight so far, nothing shady on it yet. I have the Nexus Player and its nice, but limited, considering its running a quad core Bay Trail. I was thinking about a Sony TV for PS now and Android TV.

Just don't use the built in TV stuff. Its universally crap. Add your own cheap devices that can be tossed if they displease you. Easier than replacing a screen. I removed the wifi module from my TV and just use an Intel NUC with XBMC.

My Sony a6000 does all that stuff and much more, including the ability to add more apps and functions such as stuff that would traditionally need post-processing off-device. Not to mention any ios or android device can act as a remote live feed screen/trigger/dial adjustments. I can project a slideshow on my Panasonic TV directly from the camera over wifi using standard DLNA, its completely seamless. Can post to facebook, flikr directly in-camera easily. If you know where to look, the camera manufacturers aren't sitting still and are working on making sure they have feature parity and more.

ITs called life. When you participate in such a large group discussion like twitter, you are ALWAYS going to have disharmony. If she didn't want to participate in a global discussion, she shouldn't have entered into one by using these services. The more people you try to connect to, the more 'trolls' you will get, its simple numbers. I would rather have trolls and have everyone develop a thicker skin than censorship.
