Yeah but Nintendo chooses to ignore those because they are not from direct mobile competitors. If MS or Sony put up a Mario flash game on their site Nintendo would sue the shit out of them.

  3. Re:armed commercial fishing vessels on Air Cannon Ties Pirates In Knots · · Score: 2, Informative

Frankly considering the 1970's (Vietnam era) weaponry the pirates currently have, I don't think they stand a chance against the kind of weaponry a license holder can get in many countries. Many don't realize how much a difference modern weapons make. There are a decent number of fairly affordable choices that have an effective range of a mile. AKA-47's especially old ones wouldn't be able to hit a barn from more than 1000 meters same goes with RPGs. They would be dead long before there posed any threat. Even if they could afford to upgrade to more modern weaponry (say 80/90s stuff) you have the high ground, a vessel you know won't sink, and still almost certainly better guns. There are plenty of great reasons to have strict guidelines about guns on boats, but this is simply not one of them.

  4. Hiding from the government is different. on Shedding Your Identity In the Digital Age · · Score: 3, Insightful

Sure one might be able to hide from a group of relativly untrained people with no resources for quite a long time. But in my experience if someone is actually wanted by the police they tend to be found pretty quickly. The only reason so many get away is simply a lack of any real motivation to target that specific invidiual. This is why the bike you had stolen is far less likely to be found than the man who murdered his wife. In the end, a well trained force with authority and technology is quite difficult to evade in the long run. Especially without going life ruining stres and anxiety.

Census workers and police officers looking to serve warrents often have dogs "sicked" on them. Sure its dumb as hell, but we are talking my birthplace here and stupid is a huge part of our culture.
