Yeah nearly half of America is supporting McCain including the vast majority of big money- but clearly Obama already runs America. You are a genius for unearthing this plot.
And the right clearly doesn't fall into these pits. They hope to control a woman's body, domestic spying, religion in state, and keeping the poor poor. Both sides do this and to miss the impact of the religious right is blind. Let's not forget book banning, which here in the US tends to be led by the right.
The G1 shows a lot of potential but T-mo has nearly zero 3G presence anywhere. 3g has been the next big thing for a long time and I have no clue why they have lagged so much. Another note is that while andriod seems pretty cool the G1 hardware is hardly eye catching or high quality. The next batch of Android powered phones will be better I have no doubt. I just wish Google would have held back till they had a really solid release line.
My point is that APple still supports the PPC. There are plent of Dual Dual Core 2.5 ghz G5s out there that are quite usefull. Heck many pro apps have just recently gone Intel and I can think of none that are not universal binary. So yes PPC is still quite alive.
Dude are you retarded? almost all current Apple software supports PPC. Sure they dont ship PPC machines, but that like saying the P3 isnt supported anymore, which it clearly is by most software.
I really like the ability to use location detection either through Wifi or cell triangulation like many phones. But I worry that this being a default install in Firefox will lead to hackers targetting this feature, which IMHO is quite a scary prospect. Leave it as an add-on and I will surely install it, otherwise I might wait to see how this whole thing pans out security-wise before I upgrade.
Yes clearly our media has an agenda. But my "trollish" point is that we are in the end responsible for what happens in our country. The truth is out there, there are thousands of websites which provide many different perspectives. The media can be evil, but we are foolish if we buy into everything we hear without a little fact checking. But hey since pointing out the obvious is burning my karma maybe I should just shut up.
Complaining and caring about the outcome are totally independent of each other. Those who complain but do nothing constructive to provide a better outcome are simply not worth listening to, as they have no conviction to back up their words.
When I went to college I looked at the best schools according to publications like US News. In the end I selected a school in Michigan that put me back about 40 grand a year. I hated the place. Sure the academics were good (though hardly amazing) but the attitude of the students and administrators was simply put, piss poor. It was a very unhappy place in a town with very little to do. Often these organizations that classify schools seem to forget the importance of happiness. Yes I know it is a factor they measure, but to me it the most important thing, if students are miserable as myself and many of my classmates were, the quality of the education is hardly relevant.
IÂm getting really sick of hearing how big corps "picked" Obama and McCain, do I think they are corrupt? Sure do, but we picked them not Exxon or McDonalds, so it is US who are to blame for hiring more corporate shills. Jesus when will people wake up, stop complaining and do something about it? Lets not forget that only a few out of a HUNDRED Americans have EVER voted for a third party.
You are correct. The SNES in particular was selling top 20 games well into the mid-late 90's in the US and even later in Japan. Well into the 32/64 bit "era".
This is obvious, but it hardly makes the practice any less despicable. Games have become a commodity, they can't be "art" if they so are dead once the server dies. Companies want all the protections afforded to real art, but wish to avoid actually creating lasting work. Can't have it both ways.
It is kind of funny to me that with our tech prowess we have somehow figured out a way to create products that will be lost to the sands of time long before they become useless. I can still enjoy my 80's NES games. What about my Gears of War 2 "bonus" maps? Or my DRMed music tracks? Nope those will be gone in 10 years. This is not progression folks! In 500 years our ancestors will have quite a job cut out for them figuring out how we ticked, based solely on the greed of some companies. Art will be lost in a way that is inexcusable in our modern world. Fuck you greedy bastards.
From my understanding Android hardware is not standardized which is a good thing, however there will inveitably be phones with lower res or no camera at all. I think the summary should be ""Pull" Barcode Scanning Could Be The Android based G1's Killer App". I could see immense value in this service to help consumers, can't wait!
Senators Obama and McCain,
How can you defend your support for the recently passed telecom immunity bill which provides cover for the illegal actions of companies who are incorporated (as all companies are) by the will of the PEOPLE of the United States?
As someone who has worked extensivly with the blind I have to say, its about time! I love the Mac but in so many ways it is difficult for blind or near-blind users. I hope Safari and other apps follow soon.
I think I said that these products produce NO PROFIT. And guess what, I am correct. You MS fanboys say that/. is so anti-MS yet my truthful statement got modded troll. Fucking-A.
MS has let Windows Mobile stagnate for a very long time. It has seen glacial changes since Palm entered irrelevance. Now suddenly after seeing its marketshare crash and burn MS seems to care again. Its like Firefox all over again. Yet if we look at that case study it is apparent that even with a new push, MS just doesn't have what it takes to fight the open source Android, or even Apple who is better than MS at their own game. Heck even RIM is doing just fine. Balmer should be drawn and quartered by the shareholders for this, Vista, Zune, and the Xbox.None of which have done anything but hurt an already damaged reputation.
If the US hopes to stay competitive in the high tech sector we are really going to have to do something about broadband. Letting the companies run it the way they have has clearly slowed down the uptake and we can't let it happen any longer. Teleco monopolies are bad for America.
Something just doesn't settle right with a computer that tries to determine your purpose (essentially "who you are") based on selection of clothing. The progression of this technology seems to have some potentially chilly effects.
At the same time there is real value in the research of AI. I just hope we know what to do with it when we get "there".
I have long wished that there was a way to upgrade the GPU in mobiles. Obviously something like this would be relatively niche, but then again so are gametops. Certainly the professional market would appreciate this. Does anybody if this has ever been attempted before and what the effect was?

Yeah I know it's off topic, but your sig is priceless!

Lots of big battleground states.I know its cliche, but you can't bitch if you don't get involved.

Tell that to Sony and their self-professed 10 year life cycle for the PS3. I jest but admittedly the PS2 is nearing that age, at least in Japan.
I stand corrected, this is very nice to know. I will pass it on.
