    It looks like good embedded programmers (whatever their age) will be in demand and well paid for many years to come.
    Then good luck to them - realy I mean that. So to the question of where they'll come from, they'll come from wherever they're available at the best price. I mean, economic's 101?

    Good point. Very good point. The wrong measure's distract resources away from the right ones and they also give a false sense of security.

    You can argue about how much liberty is being traded, but how ever much it is we aren't getting *any* extra security in return. Because they're the wrong measure's.

    So to make the required car analogy, its like taking a shopping list, breaking it up by area of town that the store is in, then deploying a separate car to each area and meeting back at home.
    If there is a trade of sending cars to places in a sensible and efficient way, that would be obvious to anyone with skills practiced in that art and craft. That means not patentable.
