I now average about 6 telemarketer phone calls per day on my mobile, to the point I have to even shut off vibrate along with the ringer. I know this is more of an FTC issue, but this is becoming ridiculous and 'Do Not Call' is a fucking joke (as is my pre-pay carrier that allows me to block a grand total of 5 phone numbers). If DNC and the carriers (which are no doubt making bank off telemarketers) were serious, we would be able to instantly flag a number calling us directly within the phone interface.

I wish there was a black list phone app that would block (as in not even trigger the phone circuitry) any phone number I flag, but I'm sure such a thing would ironically (or regulatory captured) be expressly forbidden by said FCC.

Cue the shills saying that Google doesn't need to pay any tax, that they are not doing anything illegal, that this is some conspiracy from the state to steal money from "wealth creators". How much are you being paid to repeat this nonsense?

Huh. I stated the exact same sentiment in a story yesterday about off-shored US corporate lucre avoiding taxes... and got rated down to a zero.

  6. Not only does having untold millions in your bank account (actually generated by your rank and file) make you a permanent money addict, searching for another hit that felt as good as that first million, but it also warps your mind to such a degree that you think you're an all-knowing, all-seeing demigod (see: Koch Brothers, Sheldon Adelson, etc.).

  7. Windows 10 fits more criteria for "malware" than the most well-known malware suites do. Forcefully installs itself? Check. Spies on you? Check. Displays ads to you? Check. Uninstalls competitors' programs? Check. Doles out your security keys to people on your contact list? Check.

It's one step away from literally being ransomware.

I see someone has sneaked a peak at next years' business plan.

  8. Given the long-held tradition of US FedGov doing jack-shit for consumers, I've hoped that the EU regulators will yet-again drag Microsoft by their tiny, tiny balls back into court and brutalize them like MS is doing to Win 7/8 users, but the silence is deafening. Perhaps Brexit is taking up all their cycles?

  9. Want those companies to park money in US banks instead of overseas? Reduce the egregious tax rate.

Cram it, corporate supplicant. It never ceases to amaze me how many millions of fools clamor to stick up for the poor, put upon 'job creator' billionaires. No doubt as they have the same craven greedy desires in their tiny cold hearts.

Unfortunately, they are all waiting for the innagauration, after which they will get their coveted tax-free repatriation of their filthy lucre, benefitting no one in the US economy save no-neck security guards, butlers, and of course, the highest level prostitutes.
